Easy no from ANA. Take a look at nearly any MTL ACGM for feedback

You spelled Caulfield wrong buddy. But yes a 3rd for Caulfield seems like a good value add for Chicago.

Don’t worry, MTL isn’t interested in giving up that much for Zegras.

Whether you like it or not, if ANH deals Zegras, it’ll be because they feel they have 2 better options at C than him.

MTL won’t be giving up that kind of package for a 3C after a down year.

The max offer that I think could happen is almost a straight up offer of our own 1st round pick (between 5-10) at the draft, and only if the right players are drafted by the time the pick comes around.

MAYBE a little sweetener like a B prospect, or a later pick.

Dach won’t be dealt in any package for Zegras. If MTL wants to acquire Zegras, it’ll be to play him WITH Dach, not INSTEAD of Dach.

There isn’t much of a question whether ANA has 2 options they prefer at C. However ANA doesn’t have 2 better options at LW, which Zegras also plays. In fact, they don’t have 1 better option (fingers crossed for Gauthier but it’s a high bar and he hasn’t played a game of pro hockey yet)

How do you define a 3rd liner? Zegras put up two 60+ pt seasons on his ELC. Caufield maybe gets his first this season. Is he a 3rd liner to you? It’s a down year due to injury, I think we can agree that it’s not like he’s over the hump and in decline at 22/23 years old

A ‘24 MTL first and prospect has been in tons of the ACGMs I mentioned and the ANA contingent have said countless times that it’s probably about fair value. Still unlikely, but fair

Nobody in ANA has made a proposal for Dach (or any Canadien in return for Zegras for that matter). You gotta talk to your fellow Hab on that one man

Zegras is a 3C? Pass whatever you're smoking or take a hike bud. Until more than one of your top 6 actually puts up 65+ in a season, you've got no leg to stand on calling him a 3C.

3Cs or 60 pts Ws don’t fetch huge packages in return unless they bring another element to their game. Zegras doesn’t have a physical element, he doesn’t PK, block shots, win faceoffs etc. He’s a point producer, not an elite one, but a decent one… and he didn’t produce points this year.

I’m not saying Zegras is getting traded, but if he is, my offer of a 5-10 pick and a sweetener is in the ballpark when you look at these. And remember, Cs are worth more than wingers… and his faceoff stats say he’s better suited for W.
