Personally I am taking Caufield. But I am definitely a Blues hater so there could be some bias associated with that lol.

I think Caufield would have slightly more value. I don't think either team does it though.

Leafs offer a 3rd for Kovacevic.

MTL declines. Kyrou might be better now but I think Caufield still has the higher upside and likely higher trade value. Its pretty close though

it depends really

Both are really good at their own thing, CC is much more of a sniper while Kyrou is the better playmaker. I do know Kyrou is very good on defense well at least this year he is, i dont know how good CC has been this year

If I'm Chicago, I do that deal. Kovacevic had good success with Luke R as a coach at MTL; I think that could continue in CHI. And, for now, anyway, he could fill a gap with RD- or gaps (plural) - if Murphy is traded.

Mtl and stl both decline. Both teams think their player is worth more. Also not sure that the blues would be looking for a guy like caufield in a trade. We are in desperate need of LD.

Kovacevic never had any contact w/ Luke in Montreal. This is some ACGM fantasy. Luke was named head coach of the Hawks 3 months before Kovacevic went from Winnipeg to Montreal. Unless they were talking a lot on the phone or telepathically, they never had any direct contact.

Hawks decline. Not saying Kovacevic isn't worth a 4th, but the Hawks can fill their 3rd pair RD need in free agency and keep their pick.

LHD you say? Habs have a few - what players are available?

No he didn't. I saw that post from the other day. Kavacevic wasn't even with MTL when Richardson was still there. That MTL fan was wrong about that. But, yeah, I might consider taking a flyer on Kovy, IF they are confident he can stick in the lineup, that is. Otherwise, why are we paying a 4th for someone we could possibly lose on waivers.

Well, I got snowed (he says sheepishly). Thanks for the correction, Hawksguy81 and garak.
