Orlov, Manson, and Colton are far from being cap dumps imo. I would also do that oilers trade too, just to get rid of Campbell so we wouldn’t have to do the buyout for 6 years.

And sorry one year of Fabbri and Maatta are hardly a dump. When healthy Fabbri is a force. And Maatta is a 3rd pairing Defensive LHD who'll put up about 20 points and make players around him better.

Half of the players on here aren't cap dumps. Orlov becomes the best defenseman the Coyotes have had... ever instantly. Carolina actually really need him to fill the gaps on the blueline. guys like Laine aren't dumps either

The Coyotes rarely take "cash" dumps. They obtain very cheap LTIR dumps.
Many of these players have NMCs or M NTCs which wouldn't have Coyotes on their trade lists.

Orlov is certainly overpaid for what he provides, but that overpayment was necessary in order to keep the term of the deal down. Overpaid doesn’t always mean cap dump, and in Orlov’s case, it certainly doesn’t.
