Danault has a NTC and very likely nothing would result in moving him.

I'd pass on Zegras and Robertson tbh. The last thing the Sens need to do is add soft skill guys who don't care defensively. Team needs to get harder and more responsible as a group, and Zegras and Robertson are softer than a soup sandwich.

Robertson has higher 5v5 stats than most players on leafs roster in reality. Look at advanced stats. Yes he has his issues defensively but he is also in his first actual yet in NHL at a very young age. This right there gives the sens a high potential top six forward for a middling package. The zegras package seems high but has shown great potential as a true top 6 forward and this year it is possible that him holding out hurt his season. Look at Nylander with the leafs. But I do agree with my package for zegras seems high. But for Robertson, with his potential, leafs will only trade him for minimum a 2nd a d including Thompson where no one knows his end game with being waived is minor for such a player with so much intrigue.

This idea is more for LA, Danault.is aging and Norris if can be proved healthy is much more intriguing. For Ottawa, it rids them of a very good top 6 center by are worried about health. Of LA asked, it is possible for a trade as Ottawa looks close to contending with the roster and prospects.

Kopitar is out sooner than Danault, Danault is slotted as the 1C unless PLD improves, don't see Norris is paid too much to make the move for him.

Robertson isnt nearly as soft as you make him seem. Definitely not as bad as Zegras too.

Robertson is undersized, but he plays with intensity and is a tenacious forechecker despite being on the smaller end. Honestly, the only thing that might be holding him back at this point is his underutilization in Toronto.

On what planet does Chychrun have more value than Zegras to Anaheim?

No chance Los Angeles trades Phillip Danault. Moore -- Danault -- Arvidsson/Fiala have been our most effective and consistent line since January 1, 2023. That's right, 2023, not 2024. We won't be trading him because his acquisition is what Rob Blake points to every time somebody brings up Pierre-Luc DuBois.

Anaheim has no interest in spending a significant asset, never mind Trevor Zegras, on Jakob Chychrun with Cam Fowler, Pavel Mintyukov, Olen Zellweger, Jackson LaCombe and Urho Vaakanainen already lined up for next season. Jake Sanderson, on the other hand . . .

I see you saying this, but PLD’s play does that already as does his role. It’s one of the reasons I thought they may pay the necessary price to get Boston to take him for Ullmark (I don’t believe that happens unless Boston doesn’t think they are getting Lindholm).

If Ottawa is trading Norris, I don’t want him. His shoulder scares me and that’s the only reason they’d be trading him. Period.

ANA has less than zero interest. Their deepest position is LHD with Mintyukov, Zellweger, Fowler, Lacombe, Vaakanainen allNHL caliber and still more in the pipeline. With a bottom 3 NHL offense we need be adding another Zegras, not trading him

Anaheim passes.

Josh Norris already has 3 busted shoulders and is making nearly $8,000,000 for 6 more years, LA passes Danault > Norris.

Can’t see the Leafs trading in division, especially with SENs or Habs; let them continue to wallow in irrelevance - 7th & 3rd years respectively 😅

I can definitely see that argument. Danault is not a 1c though. For the sake of LA, they need either PLD or Byfield to assume the mantle for Kopitar. Byfield with his age still has that potential. I was mainly looking at a potential idea that LA may look at but the idea is risky both teams.

Injury history makes Danault seem better than Norris, but if Norris can get over his injury history, he is better than Danault. Danault is a defensive center with good offensive ability and limitations. Norris has proven if he can remain healthy to be a high end 2c capable of jumping into 1c when needed. I jury history though makes it a risky move for LA.

Right now, Moore-Danault-Fiala is LA's best line. Kopitar is second. PLD is third. Byfield has played one game as center this season. It's not exactly what LA wanted, but Danault is LA's 1C if Kopitar is done, as of right now.
