ANA fan. I personally just see no reason why we’d move Zegras when we need his offensive creativity so badly, but this has to be fair value if not more

Fair, for Chych, maybe even a bit of an oevrpayment, but wow that Zegras trade is a joke. You could take out both 1st's and then it'd be fair. Bonk and Frost alone are worth Zegras.

It might be a "fair offer" for Zegras but we're not interested in a quantity return which represent a downgrade for us.

Any trade offer for Zegras centers around a blue chip asset, not a grab bag.

There's no need for retention on Cam Atkinson if he's going to Anaheim; as the Ducks GM, I'd accept the offer without it if Philly substituted Tyson Foerster for Morgan Frost. You guys have too many RWs anyway.

I doubt Philly is in the position or looking at move not 1 but 3 1st round picks - nor should they.

Chych trade to Philly should be Chych, Ostapchuk or Crookshank, 24 2nd for Konecny. Ottawa could also include Boucher if you want

Bro he probably isn't worth that either lmao, Frost + 2 1sts + Bonk is a huge package. Zegras is still valuable but what you did most recently is obviously gonna play a role, fair or not

Appreciate that. I don't know why you'd move him either, seems kinda foolish to me. I would 100% overpay for him, I think he has even another level to his game.

I don't think Bonk and Frost would even remotely get it done if I'm ANA, which is what ya gotta think about. Yeah he's had a bit of a down year but everyone knows his talent and potential. I'd meet in the middle at those and only 1 first, haha.

I agree about the fair offer, obv as I made it. But I don't think it's quite a grab bag, Frost is far from a throw in and Bonk just came off a stellar year in juniors. Adding in a mid 1st and another 1st adds to your system, while not taking away too much from your offense with frost. I think it would be rare to see a blue chip for a blue chip these days, i think it has to be this format when offering for a highly touted guy.

I'd disagree, but that's obvious as i made the trade. It's not all that different from what OTT gave for him, and it alleviates cap space from his extension coming up. I think it's fair.

Foerster would probably be a non starter for us, Torts is huge on him, his offensive game is coming along and his defensive play has wowed pretty much everyone around the league. Guy is going to be a P L A Y AAAAAAAA

Mittlestadt for Byram
Gauthier for Drysdale

Two comps this season of young star for young star, so I reject the premise that "this is the format is has to be"

Our young middle six player who's had a very solid comeback in the second half of the season, our best defensive prospect, and 2 1sts is now considered a grab bag?

2 out of how many trades in the last two years? There were over 80 in the last two trade deadlines ALONE. So that's a 2.5% clip right there. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I said it was rare, and clearly, it's extremely rare.

Yeah, I don't get that one at all, it's more than a fair offer, I think a 1st could be swapped for a 2nd also if we're talking about fair value.

No, Cozens has always been better than Zegras because he actually plays good hockey besides Michigan goals.
