Jackets decline. They're not a team that's going to trade down. Their biggest need is top 6/4 talent and keeping the higher pick should give them a better chance at getting a player to fill that need.

Sabres are at 11 before the lottery. That's not gonna be on the table for Laughton, doesn't matter how many seconds you add.

Sabres shouldn’t want Laughton. And absolutely not for that price.
He’s very overrated, Sabres should target one of cates/frost/farabee

It was supposed to be Pittsburgh’s pick that San Jose has. It was a mistake so you can all stop crying. It literally says doesn’t have to be Buffalo just a pick in the range.

Yeah that’s fair I mean it’s arguable that 7 + 12 will also yield top 6/top 4 for both picks lol but that was more so the Flyers trading up to get someone Michkov is familiar with. Could also be with Anaheim or Montreal if needed but I don’t know how long Demidov will last.

And in those 3 years he has just gone downhill. He's not a good hockey player and I think Danny bluffed his way into missing out on a gm overpaying for him

He’s gone downhill? His last 2 years were his best years points wise, he led a complete locker room persona change, and lead a top 5 penalty kill this year. You quite literally have no idea what ur talking about it’s evident u have a trivial amount of hockey knowledge at best.

Only way it works for Sens imo is to include Norris to Philly and they return their first. So Norris + Boucher + 1st + 2025 2nd for Konecny + 2024 first from Philly. Realistically we can't extend Konecny for that high AAV without Norris returning or our defense and other areas still get neglected which would result in the same outcome happening for is. I personally wouldn't even do it. Maybe Chych + Boucher + pick 38 for Konecny though would make sense.

What I put is the ADB trade basically even tho TK is better and cheaper. It’s fine as is. They could do it with Arizona or Seattle if Ottawa cries about the price like ur currently doing right now. The price to move up to 7th from 12th isn’t TK and taking back Norris lol

Hard pass from Buffalo. If he was worth a first 3 years ago airs 3 years later then he ain’t worth a first anymore.

Konecny isn't worth #7 overall and then having to pay him 8M$+ which we can't do unless Norris is gone buddy. No team is giving a top 10 pick for him. Debrincat also had 2 seasons on his deal.

$2M retention brings Ristolainen down from Cap Dump status to just cap dump status. Remove the 1st coming back and someone might take him along with the 2nd.

Yeah that’s not true lol and the reports around the deadline suggest teams were willing to pay for Risto with $1.5M retention before his injury. Do more research before commenting.

Yeah that’s not true because ADB was worth one and TK is better than ADB.

It’s also hilarious that all of ur Ottawa friends just continue to come back to this post and like every comment that favors Ottawa. Living rent free lol.

worth/value is different than what he went for, was Jeannot, Tanner worth a 1st, 2nd +++ hell no but that is what the idiot GM of TBL gave up, ADB was not worth a top 10 pick but the idiot gave it up to try and save his job, TC is not worth a top 10 pick and PHI will not get a top 10 pick for him.

worth/value is different than what he went for, was Jeannot, Tanner worth a 1st, 2nd +++ hell no but that is what the idiot GM of TBL gave up, ADB was not worth a top 10 pick but the idiot gave it up to try and save his job, TC is not worth a top 10 pick and PHI will not get a top 10 pick for him.

They won’t because they are just going to re-sign him not because he isn’t worth it. None of this is going to happen it was funny to try and see how much of a splash the flyers could make lol. But u and all of the other Ottawa kids on this site had to freak out about it lol comical.

Yeah that’s not true lol and the reports around the deadline suggest teams were willing to pay for Risto with $1.5M retention before his injury. Do more research before commenting.

He's a 3rd pairing defenseman, at least according to John Tortorella. I don't care what the rumors were, he's not worth a 1st even with retention.

Jackets decline. They're not a team that's going to trade down. Their biggest need is top 6/4 talent and keeping the higher pick should give them a better chance at getting a player to fill that need.

I could see Columbus trading down if they fall to sixth to get another late first, for example. But 4OA is a hard ask. If Demidov is there, they'll just take him, I'd think. The talent is too great to pass up for some middle-six caliber wings or third pair caliber defensemen at the end of the round. The org has no issues with getting Russians to come over and already has arguably the largest Russian contingent in the league at six if you include half-Russian, fully-fluent Elvis (Tarasov, Voronkov, Chinakhov, Provorov, Marchenko, Merzlikins). I could see Anaheim biting for a good offer if they slide down to fourth, though, and I don't really see Demidov as a likely Verbeek pick. Montreal 100% takes Demidov if he's available at their pick, though.

Also impossible to predict right now til we know who the new GM is, or if the new GM will even be allowed to participate in the draft this year.
