I think it's more than they aren't very details oriented in the defensive zone and they also make stupid mistakes both of which are gonna screw over your goalie

I don't see how you're going to land Koochie, or for that matter any goalie for as cheap as Georgie that can actually hold up to the workload you guys put him through this season, guy looks absolutely cooked out there.

The guys who might be available include Markstrom (wouldn't probably want Georgie the other way) Gibson (would take Georgie the other way), maybe Ullmark but you'd need pay a ton. I don't see Seattle letting Daccord go, they want back into the post season. I don't see Saros moving with Nashville in the playoffs. Mrazek and Blackwood both have significant injury histories, when they get hurt they tend to play musical chairs with IR. You could gamble on a Merzlikens or a Vejmelka.

Maybe WSH would be willing to send you back Kuemper. Maybe SEA would be willing to send you Grubauer back, SEA might be willing to eat some of the contract, he clearly isn't working there.

I posted this three-team (BOS-COL-NJD) trade a while back where the Avs get Ullmark: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/823499

I think we beat to death that the details were not quite right, but I still contend that there may be a good deal there where all 3 teams can get something that they want. It assumes Landeskog and his cap hit are coming back though. If he is done, then the deal may fall apart because COL won't be up against the cap as much.

I would def take Gibson and vejmelka is a gamble. Dude looks elite one game and then wtf the next.

What would it take to get Gibson with at least 2 million retention?

Fair enough. I suspect it will be an eventful offseason for you all one way or another. Hopefully if Landeskog does come back, he performs at or near the levels we saw from him in the past!

Retention is going to be the big sticking point honestly. It would be much more palatable to absorb the difference by taking a bigger contract back the other way and providing a lesser replacement piece, such as swapping Colton for Lundestrom (assuming Lundy could be signed for a year or two in the 1.5-1.8 range)

You guys are also starting to get real thin with picks and prospects, I don't believe you have any round 2-3 until 2026?

I also watched the replays, I can't say it was all on Georgie tonight because the defense was just sloppy, but also 6 goals glove side high is a big oof.
