lol. CHI is not doing that. I doubt CHI would trade anything to get Marner. They would just wait until after next season, if he hits free agency, fine kick some tires, if he doesn't hit free agency, oh well.

If the move could be had post july 1st and we could convince Chicago or similar team to take on half Marner’s cap hit for 375k of real dollars, then sure the canes would likely be interested at a 11 x 8 deal for Marner.

I think you'd need to turn that 4rth into a 2nd in the CAR deal and Leafs accept

I get that PLD is seemingly a bad contract, but if Blake sells the contract for a rental or doesn't get a center back he will get fired.

Absolutely not to Dubois. He is cancer in the locker room and only cares about himself. Even if we got Byfield with him, that is not happening.

I would assume that the Canes would probably do Necas (extended) and a 1st, assuming that Marner is willing to extend. Mind you, I think a 3rd team would have to eat half his salary before he extends with Carolina just to make the cap work.

        Doesn’t make sense for Carolina
        Hawks will still be tanking

Taking into account you said Marner agrees to waive and he comes with an extension, I could see Utah being in on him for that package. Adding a top 20 player in the league seems like something Ryan Smith would be all over. And I think the Hawks would have interest as well. Moore and a 1st is a steep price, but Marner playing on Bedard's wing for the next 9 seasons would be fun to watch! Kings and Canes probably can't make the cap work, so they're both out.

In this scenario Marner would come with the 11.5x8 deal as mentioned in the description.

Makes sense, I know the Leafs would absolutely not retain so a 3rd team is needed 100%.

Fair, could 100% see Utah making a splash.

I think it makes a ton of sense for the Hawks. I personally really like Moore but Hall an A prospect and a late 1st seems more than fair for Mitch.

LA at wing is pretty much set, Kempe, Byfield, and Moore should all be signed long-term to team friendly contracts.

Don't think the talent gap between Necas and Marner is that big... also Marner's contract
