We can't afford to pay Marner unless Norris and Chabot are moved.

If Marners willing to waive to come, we’d have to unload Chabot/Norris to even afford him, so I doubt it happens unless one of those 2 are included.

Marner is worth more than that and Byfield is worth more than that

I see that you don't know who Quinton Byfield is.

Here's a hint: you have him re-signing for $950,000. We'll be giving him either a long-term deal or, more likely, a bridge deal at around $6 million, give or take half a million.

We won't be trading him unless it's in a package for Mitch Marner inasmuch as we drafted him second overall and he's the best young player that we have.

Matt Roy will get a similar amount for between 4 and 6 seasons.

Marner is definitely worth Pinto and a 2nd, but Marner and his contract (extension that would be required) don’t make sense for Ottawa

Absolutely no why the Kings give up Byfield, he’s the kings only player worth his value.

Matt Roy signed a similar 4 year contract when he was 26. Now he's into his 30s, not proven much more, and is actually getting the best deal of his career. He might be worth north of 4,000,000, but its hard to give up that much for him.

I get that hes worth alot more than I traded him for, but as for the contract half of things, I wasnt sure how RFA contracts usually work in the first 3 years.

Sorry bud, so much wrong with this post. Why Marner waive to Sens? Sens don't have the cap for him anyway.
That is crazy underpay contract wise for Byfield. Just won't happen.
Absolutely nothing in for Vegas. They sign a just a good centre cheaper. McNabb is good value for Knights, and Knights need all their cap.

Roy is a top 4 RD UFA in his prime.

You're dead wrong.

Just like you are about his age.

He just turned 29.

Dagger.

Debatable calling him a top 4 RD UFA, and even if you do, giving a second teir UFA defensman over 5,000,000 seems crazy.

Also he is well out of his prime. Players usually peak in preformance at the age of 24. Im not just pulling that out of my ass. His on ice value will continue to decline as he ages.
