Description

The Senators are the perfect team to make a trade with leading up to the draft. GMKD has said that it is unlikely he will all use all future draft picks. At some point he is going to consolidate them. Our rebuild is getting closer to making such move. This draft seems to be about getting the #1 RD or another Top line forward. Let's get both. Take Leshunov at #2 and either Eiserman/Catton/Lidstrom at 7. Maybe Demidov even drops to us.

Oh yeah, why does the Sens do this. They were terrible this year, have a bottom 5 prospects and will lose their 1st round pick in either 25 or 26 due to their NHL punishment. This trade provides 4 picks for one. A great head start toward a organizational rebuild.

As a Blackhawk fan I would make the 25 1st pick top two protected, but I fully expect without moving up in the draft it should be around 8-10.

Why on earth are you thinking the Hawks are climbing out of the bottom 5 next year? If I'm Ottawa I laugh as I say yes and grab myself a top 5 pick next year

I get you're not rebuilding but that 2025 Chicago 1st is the most valuable piece in that deal. It's a top 5 pick next year that's loaded with stud forwards, Frondell, Haggens, Misa, id be saying yes if Chicago actually offered that

LOL at Sens fans NOT doing this IMMEDIATELY. That Hawks '25 first is lottery and best case scenerio in the 5-10 range. Hawks are WAY more likely to be picking in the top 5 than they are out side the top 10.

Hawks never consider this. Fair value for #10 OA would be #20OA + #34OA with a small kicker like #62 which would still be an overpay on most pick value charts.

AND for giggles...the '25 draft appears to be much closer to last years in terms of the quantity of quality in the top dozen or so picks.

Nice idea. KD isn't trading that '25 1st for Eiserman or Catton. A top 10 pick in next year's draft is worth more than #7 in this draft. Demidov never makes it to #7. At worst, Montreal grabs him at #5.
