What's the point of the Rossi trade? Zary looked great at center. Rossi also isn't an RFA so he can't sign an extension until after the draft

He was drafted with a 3rd round pick. Hes now a solid bottom pair D. Id want more than a 3rd and roster spot for him

Because they get a 22/23 year old top six center on his ELC for a pending UFA winger and a late 1st

He wouldn't be a UFA if traded for. I am OK with that because of EK Marat and Daniel coming up. Building a team comes with moves like this.

For a 24 draft pick to transfer the trade would have to be at or before the draft and Sharangovich isn't even eligible to sign an extension until a week after the draft, and that doesn't mean he's going to sign an extension right away

You wanna build a forever first round exit team, this is how you do it. Stockpile mediocre pieces like Sharangovich and late 1sts.

Conversations don't mean anything if that player can't sign the extension before the trade
