Eller for Thompson and a pick maybe?

I'd prefer to get prospects. Thompson is hurt and is up there in age so I have no interest in him.

yeah, i'm not sure if we're interested unless the asking price is way lower.

still, Chabot AND Brown is too much.

            Not it is not.

Look at throughout history of what teams paid to get star players, like OEL.

Two 1st rounders is nothing in comparison.
And you would still be getting the win on the deal.

you're going to have a stroke or heart attack if you pursue this further... better just to give up on this avenue... RAIF won't make a trade unless he benefits a lot from it. And he is stuck at the moral crossroads of Dahlin or Playoffs

OEL Is legit worth more than Nylander+TOR 1st+Kapanen
Which is more than Chabot+Brown combined.
            Easily.

sure OEL is good... but factor in contract situation... OEL has 1.5 years left, then will cost north of 8M IRL, which in this game will be 11+ M because we are savages... So I think your evaluation is a bit off personally

sure OEL is good... but factor in contract situation... OEL has 1.5 years left, then will cost north of 8M IRL, which in this game will be 11+ M because we are savages... So I think your evaluation is a bit off personally

How is the valuation off, you could resign him for 7.5 at less than Hedman. Plus he has 1.5 Years left.
They could always move him after the playoff push for more assets at the draft.

because people in the GM Game go hard after players who are much better... Marleau got 7M x 3, Tavares got 11M x 8, heck a lot of bad FAs got 4+M... OEL will be expensive to resign in this game, hurting his trade value

            No he will not.
Tavares is GMv2 can be resigned for 9-10M range.
            Which is fair value.

Were you there during V1. No. People purposefully drive the price up to screw other GMs... that's how I got screwed on Marleau needing to sign him to 7M compared to 5.5M

Please read the rules regarding UFA/RFA signings or ask Nick.

            You are uninformed.

            FA Budget
FA Budget is the amount of total cap hit you can spend during any given offseason. To find your FA Budget, you take the Salary Cap Ceiling and multiply it by 1.10, then subtract your cap hit to find the FA Budget To establish a team's FA budget, they must reduce their roster to a maximum of 23 player compliance (12F/6D/2G + extra), while attaining a minimum of 20 player compliance (12F/6D/2G).
            Example:
            75M x 1.1 = 82.5M. My cap hit is 73.75M. 82.5M – 73.75M = 8.75M. 8.75M is the maximum amount I can spend during the offseason

If I'm Arizona with 14 M in cap, they can spend 82.5M - 61M = 21.5M... they can use their salary cap to drive the price of a John Tavares, or a Ekman-Larsson to higher prices and can add NMC/NTC to raise the points to be able to sign said player, or screw another player out of signing their star UFA. Sure there is a rule that allows you to sign 1 UFA, But RAIF would be better off to sign EK than OEL when that time comes

            Not uninformed... just right

What is the point of that?
            Are you that stupid?

I think J you could learn a two or three from RAIF.
You can resign OEL, and EK its not hard.
Just bid more than the next.

Also, OEL has 1.5 years remaining on his current contract.
Meaning he can be dealt anytime prior to the expiratiion of his contract for more than what Raif is paying.

Thats from the rules of the GM Game... No one as of right now wants to pay the price you set for OEL... so really if no one wants to pay the price you laid out, then you either reduce the price or stop shopping him... you won the OEL deal by a landslide, because you think that you are never wrong and shove that idea down the throats of others until they agree and accept the deal...
I dealt with someone with the same mindset in this game, and that person made me leave the game just because they thought they were superior in every way...
So don't take the enjoyment out of the game. Don't call people stupid. And people will make RAIF pay through the nose to keep EK. That's if the game makes it that far

would three 1st round picks be a good base for Karlsson?

            Not it is not.

Look at throughout history of what teams paid to get star players, like OEL.

Two 1st rounders is nothing in comparison.
And you would still be getting the win on the deal.

Even if you think it makes sense for both teams, i don't think it makes sense for us and it takes both teams to agree on a deal. Sorry but we aren't interested.

Well what are you adding? To move Brown, we'd likely need a 1LD but we'd add.

Yeah, sure, we'd take one of the top goalies in the league for a rental awesome face

All joking aside, make an offer. We're looking for picks/prospects.
