Necas to MTL
Overpay for Necas, but also not the pieces that would make Carolina want to trade Necas.

trading hutson would be an awful decision, I don't get the iginla hype, and the jets would be stupid to move perfetti. The isles deal doesn't make a ton of sense either

He's probably leaving at the end of the season. Watch him shine elsewhere.
Mistake by MSL. He literally played in the bottom6 all year while having no ice time.. Why is he playing Pearson and White instead of him.

Uhhhhh. Montreal doesn’t do that. Other than Huberdeau being French, doesn’t make sense for Montreal to give up two 1st to take on that contract.

Lindstrom or Iginla with MTL pick and Cole Hutson with WPGs Pick
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>Personally, I think drafting Parascak is the way to go with the Jets pick. It's high risk high reward but putting up 105 points as a rookie in the WHL means you have got some serious talent, I am not sure why he isn't ranked higher but how can you pass up that kind of scoring if it's available to you that late in the draft?!</div></div>
I'm looking at Parascak with the Edmonton first. But I think that the Oilers have a better chance at getting to the Conference finals than the Jets.

Problem with moving back in the draft with a deal like this is, you’re basing it around a player who has maybe potential, and hasn’t done much in the league. I don’t think it would be a good trade to move back and miss out on a guy like Lindstrom to get a player who “maybe” could break out.
Don’t know why I quoted you so much haha

Its a bad deal. Since jan 20th he has fewer points than sean monahan has with the habs (joke being that we traded monahan 4 games later lol)
Holtz at this point is quickly losing what value he had. People will whine about icetime as an excuse but 6 points in 36 games (.16 ppg)isnt NHL calibre.
Ffs pezzetta has a .21 ppg this year and he plays less than 8 mins a game and kills penalties on occassion.
To lose the guy they want for a guy who at best becomes a shelter 3W (which we dont have room for) isnt worth it

Way to much to give. I like Keller but Mtl is currently picking top 5. They aren’t trading that pick for another small winger. They absolutely need to get bigger up front.

Obviously doesn't make sense for both. Both MTL and NJ have a balanced 2 good RD each (Nemec & Casey and Reinbacher & Mailloux). MTL won't trade a top-line forward for another D, and NJ doesn't want to be left with only a sub-6 foot in their top young players for RD

Hmmm and see from a Habs stand point I don't think I'd even give up Slaf 1 for 1, let alone add a top 10 pick and another pick. Get why neither side would see equal value though

All of the 3 players have much more value than Necas...................................... Bergevin isn't anymore the Habs GM.......
Caufield have somes better offensive stats than Necas at a younger age, Suzuki is able to carry offensively a full team and Slaf can hit easily the 70-80 pts mark next season.
But Necas is now 25-26, have a good season (and haved a breakout season last year with playing with Aho, etc.), but already hit his prime.

Yeah I agree with those selections would be great for Montreal.
Or draft Iginla and trade for Zegras and you have a loaded top 6

Fiala was coming off a 33 goal, 85 point season though so you can say he was better. But you can also maybe offset that with the fact Minnesota desperately needed cap space
A mid 1st and a good prospect (although Faber has gone way above his expectations)</div></div>
Also, Fiala is worse defensively. I think it’s a good comparable in case of a trade. And I don’t think Minnesota’s cap situation matters too much cuz if the Canes trade Necas, it would be for a similar reason
