Welcome to CapFriendly. As you can see, sometimes it's not too friendly.
<a href="/users/Caniac2000" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Caniac2000</a> has done an excellent job very courteously explaining why your trades would not be appealing to the other teams. Suffice it to say that you'd be lucky to get more than a sixth for Armia or Hoffman and that DuBois, LaFreniere and Hellebuyck all have much higher values than what you have here.
Don't be discouraged. Very few of us would be happy to discuss our initial efforts on this site. Keep trying!

Don't think you could get two more similar players based on last season Oh, at least for this season Necas is 4m cheaper. Canes have done a very good job, keeping their "family" together. Even trading guys of equal value can disrupt a team.

I personally don't want Marner. He had 1 whole goal more than Necas, doesn't exactly wow anyone. However, if I don't keep doing this, I'm going to slowly go insane. If I see another Marner for Aho+Pesce deal, or Necas+Pesce, or Svechnikov + Pesce, or Necas + Svechnikov... I will start a petition to fold the franchise, purely just to shut the fans up. Relocate the organization to a real hockey market like Arizona</div></div>
Please don't put me in the category as EVERY Leaf fan. But thanks for your blog and your backhanded sarcasm.

In the summertime
As a Canes fan, I'm surprised you made that trade. Leafs should jump at that trade. Even if all the trade pieces don't really work out of the Leafs, it's still 11m to spend on other players this year and next.
Many Leafs will say..."You can't replace Marner." Maybe so, but Marner shouldn't be the 7th highest paid player in the league, so a good GM (not Dubas) will find better for 11m.

Toronto would be out of their minds not to take that. I get that they're mostly looking to just restructure and still compete right away rather than getting draft picks, but in a trade this important, they have to maximize the return value. And the value there is just too good to pass up. They can trade those 1sts for other players if they really want, and Morrow is exactly the prospect they need.

Back to it
I honestly love this.
While I agree with the sentiment we can carry three goals, I think that's all smoke and mirrors from team management. You need one good goalie in the playoffs, that's it, this 1A, 1B, 1C setup has been what's hurt us in the past. Is it Mrazek or Reimer? Is it Ned or Mrazek? Do we play Kotchetkov or Raanta? The future is Kotchetkov and he should be allowed the opportunity to start until he proves himself not worthy, pick one to back him up and you know going into the playoffs if the young goalie isn't ready for the pressure (which we know he is), then you go back to a veteran. I just don't see how this plays out well i.e. Kooch starting Game 1 of the divisional round and he loses, so we go to Freddie, and he loses, so we go to Raanta. None of that makes sense, we aren't carrying 3 goalie contracts into the playoffs when there are rentals and offensive assets that can elevate our scoring depth.
DW has a good relationship with Zito and I think there is definitely a deal that could get done. May require conditional portions of the deal that can upgrade the trade for FLA as well, i.e. points scored or playoff games played for Duclair. Your point of Noesen vs. Duclair is spot on, Duclair is an absolute improvement over Noesen.
Thanks for letting me use your ACGM thread as a comment section to vent.

I know exactly who he is, that's why I said keep your picks take the players and even retain. But in no way is he considered anything like Dahlin or Power were or are. He is a fantastic prospect that hasn't played a single game in the NHL. Keep your insults to yourself, you make yourself look like a idiot.

Nah, I think after an injury like that and long term covid, you let him rest and don't expose him to reinjuring that ankle and lowering his trade value even more.
Interesting, you should look at the game logs from the start of last year when he played with Slavin</div></div>
K let me know when you get assets for your prized possession that is so special we must not play him. I'll be waiting.

Bear to Vancouver
A trade for Hoglander would make sense as he can be moved to the AHL if need be. But, yes I think the Canes would need to add. Haven't seen any serious offers as to what Vancouver would want on top of Bear to make it happen. If Hoglander is a non-starter, I completely understand. But likewise, please take names like Dermott, Pearson, and Dickinson off the table. They wouldn't be targets for the Canes.
