Florida is the team to beat in the East. . The Western conference is stacked , wouldn’t be surprised if COL, DAL, EDM, or VGK makes it to the SCF

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yikes</b></div><div>I actually think that Bo - Casey deal is not good for Buffalo. It’s fair in a vacuum imo, with all things considered - but Buffalo does not have plenty of LD space to give Byram a role to grow into. If Buffalo continues to play him on his offside or as a 3rd/ 4th LD… they may just not be able to bring him into his full potential.. which is what they’re clearly trading for.</div></div>

Samuelson-Clifton

Tarasenko is a good fit for Florida because they can shelter him and utilize his strengths because of how stacked at forward they are

Brutal defensively* - which is the truth. He’s a good offensive bottom 6 winger. He needs to be the 3rd best player on his line

Tarasenko has been brutal this season , he’s not worth a 1st. He’s the exact opposite of what the isles need. He can’t score or play adequate defense

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>As said before if im CGY because of the position of FLA's pick I want Lundell as part of the deal. That above be meh for him, Luostarinen having a down season, 1st be in 2026 and Sam meh will be good one day but not now
Then you got competition from the other FLA team, TBL 0 concern as they will throw a draft class of picks + Perbix and Howard if they really want him.</div></div>
Perbix is a 3rd pair caliber D and Howard has been mediocre at best in college. Lundell has 3-4 x the value of both Tampa assets you listed

If not go to Brisbois and let the significant overpay commence</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dannibalcorpse</b></div><div>Nelson has been productive in a less-offensively tilted role before he really popped off in 2021-22.
2018-19 through 2020-21 he was getting more than 50% of his starts in the D-zone and was typically 6th on the team in PP TOI (so borderline PP1/2 I'd argue.) He still averaged nearly 28 goals/82 GP and was on ice for 54.3% of the goals scored 5v5.
I also don't know where you're getting Johansen scoring at .33 PPG and Nelson scoring at .5 PPG? Nelson has 46 points in 58 GP (.79 PPG) and 30 of those at 5v5 (0.52). Johansen has 22 points in 60 GP (0.37) and only 15 of those at 5v5 (0.25) No matter how you slice it, Nelson is literally scoring twice as much as RyJo this year.</div></div>
This guy really compared Brock Nelson to Johansen lol. That’s like comparing pageau to nichushkin

New York Islanders
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>macca2119</b></div><div>I hate a "Avs pass" post...
I started to think Nelson for RyJo might be interesting, but the numbers do not appear to justify that price. Keep in mind that the Avs 1st PP unit plays 80%+ of the PP, so Nelson's PP contributions would not really be of value. So, I wanted to focus on 5v5 numbers.
5v5
RyJo 9G 6A 53.6 FO% 46.1% OZ Starts 49.4 Corsi 2 yrs $4M
Nelson 17G 13A 46.4 FO% 59.3% OZ Starts 50.3 Corsi 2yrs $6M
My biggest concern is, in additional to the lack of expected PP time, what happens to Nelsons numbers when his OZ start time gets cut down (MacKinnon gets 72% of his starts in the OZ and that is not going down).
Basically the Avs would be giving up a first AND their top prospect (in a position of need) to move from RyJo's .33 ppg to Nelson's .5 ppg
Finally, the Avs cannot absorb the $2m difference in the contract.
Avs Pass ;)</div></div>
Nelson has been a 1st line caliber forward the past 3 seasons. Johansen has been a low end 3rd liner. Please list the centers that have scored 35 G 3 years in a row over the past 5 seasons. I’ll wait lol

Florida needs a depth winger and a 3rd pair RD. You don’t need high end assets to get that done

Dobson doesn’t have to play much defense because he tilts the ice offensively and his defense isn’t an issue.
