might have been much better off moving him this summer when people thought he would be more expensive and better offensively... hard to believe his value dropped this much this fast

No need to worry about Ullmarks NTC. They laugh hysterically at that before declining.
Offer the 1st and Savoie in the off-season, no Skinner no retention….you might have a shot.

Tendy fix
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Flamesfan60</b></div><div>Any other team hes like a .910 goalie</div></div>
You haven’t watched much of the Bruins. The save % on high danger chances doesn’t suggest it’s the defense that is bailing out the goalies. It’s the other way around.
Boston has a premium goalie coach that takes raw players and corrects a lot of their flaws, but Ullmark is what he’s shown the past two years. He went from fundamentally flawed to sound since his time in Boston.
If a team is not offering a premium package, Boston keeps him because two good goalies is the best thing for job security for a GM.
Goalie value is interesting because teams that have great goalies don’t trade them unless they have a younger great goalie on the horizon

Boston not trading Carlo.
Mac gets all the love, deservedly so, but Carlo has been their best D man this year.
You made the team worse. Significantly
I could see Ullmark/Debrusk/Boqvist/Zboril for RNH/Campbell 50% retained/Foeggle/Holloway/Broberg/Lavoie. Something that would help both teams. But Ully and RNH trade protection would make it almost impossible.

Lindholm for DeBrusk plus
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bhavikp27</b></div><div>Lindholm is far from ideal. He isn't a real 1C and wants 1C money on top of having a reputation of Selke guy when he hasn't been that at all. He'll be 30 next season when his new (likely long-term) contract begins. Does it match the Bruins' timeline and how long will he keep his current level of play? Not only you move DeBrusk but also Lysell with no guarantee of being able to sign a top winger. This trade doesn't make much sense.</div></div>
What makes a "real 1C" in your opinion?
Lindholm over the last 3 years among NHL Centers:
83 Goals - Ranks 18th
110 Assist - Ranks 20th
193 Points - Ranks 16th
He ranks 29th among center with 150gp over the last 3 years in FO% as well. I'm not as concerned about his age seeing as more players are playing deeper in their 30's because they take better care of their body.

Early BOS Trade Deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MoxNix</b></div><div>This isn't last year and Lindholm is better than Horvat.</div></div>
Over the last 3 years:
Horvat - 205GP / 88G / 161P / .78 PGP
Lindholm - 218GP / 83G / 193P / .88 PGP
The difference in the P/GP works out to 8pts over 82 games (which isn't much). Horvat is the better defensive center and better from a face-off perspective. You can say this isn't last year, but that's irrelevant to this. GM's are going to use the Horvat trade as a comp when dealing with CGY on any deal for Lindholm.

Just trying to gage this guys value
I honestly think both teams decline. TOR has centers, they don't need to decrease the right-now talent.
Boston has their future 1C in Poitras, a guy that could be an 85-point 2-way guy. Why would they trade him, especially noting he is already playing a very solid role in the team

Hanifin Dube and Coronato to BOS for a Haul
No thank you.
Boston does not need Noah. Their top 4 D is set for years.
Poitras is more valuable to Boston than anyone coming back to them due to roster makeup.
Take out Poitras/Lohrei/Grizz and Noah. We can talk.

Based on camp, it's pretty clear Lohrei needs work on his defensive game; not being rushed and facing top NHL players every 2-3 days.

-Lysell doesn't play center so he's not going to push him out.
-Merkulov's game doesn't fit with what Boston wants out of its 4th liners.
-Beecher & McLaughlin both are waiver exempt and if we know anything about Sweeney Co is that he likes to take advantage sending guys down who don't require waivers.

I know historically Sweeney has gone with the vets but I am stupidly optimistic that he won't this year.</div></div>
Even still, pushing Heinen out of spot doesn't push Brown out of the 4C role. Frederic hasn't really been great in the dot and he's sitting at 43.9% for his career in the dot. Unless he drastically improved in that area during the off-season, I don't see him as a center unless its an emergency situation.

1. Coyle is overpaid for his production, so I doubt you get value.
2. Philadelphia is nowhere near contending. Why would they want Ullmark. If they did try to acquire him, my assumption is they’d try to get of Courturier’s contract. The comp package is probably close
3. No to Hanifan. We don’t need to allocate more money to D and he’s likely to be overpaid

Images removed for simply for space.
You're just providing stats to what I'm saying. 82% Dzone starts is going to lead to poor metrics. A/60 and G/60...hard to score when you always have to start in your own end. None of that gets reflected in your stats. I could play devils advocate and say "Did you catch where Kampf also have to play the shutdown role with lesser teammates than Suter was provided?", BUT truth is... that stat doesn't really matter either. They played the shutdown role. The whole line did. That was their focus/goal.</div></div>
I am showing value also. David Kampf a 2x1.5 was excellent value. Pius Suter at 2x1.6 is excellent value.
<strong>David Kampf at 4x2.5 (with a NTC lol) is terrible value. He is not a 3C (now paid like one) and too expensive for a 4C. </strong>

If Boston feels the same way you do then why wouldn't they just wait till FA? If Hanfin really wants to play for Boston most wouldn't he take a discount to play for them, making a bidding war not as big of a deal?
