Before you pass judgment? You created a whole AGM team trolling and you didn't watch the plays?

Chychrun
That is the kind of package that it will take to get Chychrun. Anyone who thinks otherwise just doesn't understand the game.
Ask yourself this.... Is this team even worth that kind of investment of futures? I don't think they are a contender even with Chychrun. Last night's embarrassment just furthers my thoughts on that.
There are deeper issues with this team that most people can't see because they are blinded by their winning percentage and regular season point totals.
"Soft and Purposeless" was a very accurate assessment. I'm not talking about adding goons and knuckle draggers when I say that. Just players that are prepared to leave it ALL on the ice night in and night out.
We have very few of those kinds of guys in Toronto at present. Hard work trumps skill when skill isn't prepared to work hard.

Holl actually was fine on the third pair. Rarely saw anything. Dermott had some misplays but was able to get the puck back. Muzzin-Sandin though in transition yeah very lucky Campbell brought his A game as some of those shots he faced when they were on the ice were high danger.
Would prefer to see Muzzin play with Liligren until Dubas brings someone in like Braun to push Holl to the third pair with Sandin

Not sure it is better but its different
Definitely worse. You don't move that many pieces and expect to not have continuity issues. You have guys fitting the system and playing well and you move them out for guys in other systems and expect instant success. It doesn't happen that way very often.

Lol ok. First of all, I don’t really care if they need one. I only care if they are willing to pay a first round pick, and by all accounts, those 5-6 teams are willing to pay. Their reason? Not my problem or concern
Second of all, if you watched any of the playoffs last year, you’d know his value

Two birds with one stone
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JaredOfLondon</b></div><div>like i said, they should be looking for guys that create depth, not who are depth. If you cant find those guys then you shouldnt spend assets on low range guys who dont push the needle at all.
Every single year the leafs spend assets on 'depth' like schenn or motte and every year it hasnt worked. Like how many more times do you and others need to see that spending picks and prospects on low end guys does nothing?</div></div>
Well there is a thing called a salary cap which Toronto has been hard up against for years adding anything more than depth guys require moving out core parts of the roster which I’m not sure any leafs fan should think as a good idea so adding depth guys is the only and best option they have it really does come down to being that simple.

This is just how it goes on here though, opinion is law, evidence doesn't matter and reputation is everything.
How many people on here see Colin Miller as an upgrade when he has been a healthy scratch on the past 3 teams he's played on including Buffalo who are much worse than TO. But he's better because people say so.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leafs09</b></div><div>Your right, all the analyst who have played in the NHL or have been around the game a long time think Mason is better than Holl, BUT you don't and think that puck possesion is the whole game now. You must be right.
I am not one of those people on Colin Miller, but I am with Manson whi is better than Holl and would be a nice #4 D.
Holl can fit in the 5-6 role and would be great at it.
I actually love reading your comments becasue they are such homer based it wild and funny.</div></div>
the analytics show that Manson is the better defenseman at even strength.
XEVO
Manson: 2
Holl: -1.1
xEVD
Manson: 1.8
Holl: 2.1
In Toronto Manson's numbers would get better, while Holl's would be worse in Anaheim.

Should the Leafs nab Kane plus TDL move
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JaredOfLondon</b></div><div>no, kane is a selfish cancer of a player who cant even be trusted to keep covid protocol and my god that buffalo trade is terrible. the leafs arnt going to make their defence so much worse to get another bottom 6er they dont need</div></div>
The leafs have 2 powerplay quarterbacks in Rielly and Sandin. Im not paying a kings ransom for the likes of Klingberg or Chychrun if I'm only getting half a season out of them, while sacrificing top prospects and high draft picks just to have one of them. Robert Hagg puts up anywhere in the ballpark of 150-200 hits per year and also blocks ALOT of shots. People say that the leafs don't need certain players because they simply don't KNOW the players. Hinostroza is also a fine good player too, but again, you don't watch him. That guy is one hell of a hard worker, and he's always playing with a chip on his shoulder, and can also score a point or two for ya now and then.
As for Kane, I have to agree with you that yes, he is cancer to the locker room. I would be a little uneasy with him being on the leafs knowing the trouble he causes, but the guy has stated he wants to be on a contender. The leafs are one. You know Dubas is doing his homework on him and checking in

If the Leafs sign him they can just send him to the Marlies if they players don't like him - sucks for Kane but really if it doesn't work out it doesn't hurt the Leafs. Might as well take a shot....

I get a kick out of all these keyboard warriors saying Chiarot sucks lol. Part of the top pairing on a team that made the Stanley Cup finals last year(with a dismal offence) and all the analysts that actually get paid for their opinions have stated that they think he'll fetch a 1st or more as a rental at the TDL.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PleaseBanMeForMyOwnGood</b></div><div>Of you can get a goal a game from your bottom 6 and your stars play like stars. You will win more than you lose.</div></div>
Unfortunately our bottom 6 is only scoring a goal every two games right now, 8 goals in 15 games, 2 of which came on the PP. Six even strength goals from the bottom in 15 games isn't going to cut it. Florida has 16 from their bottom 6, 13 at even strength. Carolina has 15, 13 at even strength. These teams are currently the class of the conference and obviously they aren't as top heavy but still we are mustering up barely half of the production they are from the bottom 6. That's the issue we face tough paying 4 forwards so much money, we only have just over 8 million dollars tied up in our bottom 6. Carolina has almost 12 million in their bottom 6 and Florida has roughly 17 mil granted Reinhart plays on their 3rd line and Hornqvist has a bad contract but still.
