<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FlameFlameFruit</b></div><div>What REAL value are you getting for a 4/5RD who's not really bad at anything, but not great at it either? A 3rd and 5th is a fine price, imo.

I didn't overpay for Borgen. He's expiring and they might look to move him, and Krebs is a young center Buffalo doesn't really need. A lot of young center talent in the system and you can move Krebs for an area of need.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FlameFlameFruit</b></div><div>Or it just shows you need to live up to your contract. Clifton sucks.</div></div>

Trading away Lyubushkin in the final year of his two-year deal when it was clear he was the extra defender that wasn’t going to play, Is totally different than giving away Clifton in year two of his three year deal. He started off this year pretty badly, I think there’s no one disputing that. But he did get better as the year went on.

Like I said before everyone likes Borgen, including Seattle, so they probably want to hang onto him. But if they are chasing their tails by the trade deadline, he is definitely going to be someone teams will be calling about. That’s when you’d see a return like this for him. Krebs hasn’t really been given the opportunity to play 3rd line center, I think they plan on letting him play with someone who can actually skate before deciding to cut bait. Using Kulich as the fourth line center would just be a waste, I don’t know if they see him as a center but he’s definitely going to get more ice time than the grinders.

Resigning Robinson would be pretty pointless, he was about as effective as Rousek was whenever you saw him out there. That’s a younger guy I would be willing to trade away. Upgrading the bottom six with guys who are not afraid to go to the net and stay there is what Buffalo needs. I think on that we are agreed.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMDannyB</b></div><div>Happy to explain it to you.

Flyers were desperate to get a back up goalie because they killed Ersson riding him basically every game for 3 months and he burnt out. Cal Petersen can’t save a beachball coming at him and Sandstrom stops every hard shot he sees and lets in every easy goal he sees. Both of our options sucked. Fedotov wanted to make it worth his while coming to the US since he was make I believe about $1M in equivalent over in Russia. So part of the agreement in getting him over here now was the new contract.

So now Fedotov comes over has brand new equipment that is broken in at all, has two practices, and the Flyers are reeling.

First game he plays he comes in and has an amazing game after Ersson gets pulled.

Second and third game he looked meh at best but the team in front of him complete quit and didn’t help him in anyway.

Also the contract is only for 2 years and Michkov doesn’t come over for 2 years. Or rebuild won’t even begin to be over until Michkov comes over so a contract in a rebuild that will be over with before anything matters isn’t a big deal at all.

Either he sucks and his contract is gone when the flyers want to compete or they found a gem who just had a rough start after the flyers threw him into terrible circumstances.</div></div>
I understand your hands are probably tied, but the guy did get arrested because he tried to come over two years ago. I guess it’s a quid pro quo sort of thing. It’s kind of mind blowing how Cal Peterson fell off a cliff, maybe the Sabres dodged a bullet with him after all. I guess Carter Hart’s career is basically over? For the record I like Ersson, but I guess you’re going to run a 1A and 1B tandem until one of them earns the reins.
