Worth A Try
A 2nd is a nice offer for Stastny, but I don't know if the Jets will wait to 23 for it.

Trade is made at the 2022 deadline, which means they get the 2022 and 2023 Playoffs with Miller. Check the trade description.

Give Me Graves
Hmm. That's a thinker, but I'd probably go ahead and do it. From a distance it seems like Graves has slumped this season, but I think it's just New Jersey's poor finishing and save % that is throwing some of his numbers off.

Probably. I just find amusing how often people reject good trades because of taking back a contract very few seem to understand that it’s required to make the trade and get anything. This site gets way overblown with that type of stuff expecting double the returns.

100%...I feel like if you were to list off the players that Vegas would move, in order of likelihood, Theodore would be in the bottom 5, with Eichel, Stone, Pietrangelo, and Lehner.
Fun to dream on (Would love to have him back with the Ducks...F*ck you Bob Murray!), but absolutely no shot.

New approach
Out of context, the Perron offer ain't half bad. in context, I cannot think of a single reason for the Blues to do this.
That said, it's not out of the realm to suggest the Blues might move for Berglund this summer.

Both are 23 and haven't done anything yet, so promising is a stretch. I think the Jets would rather trust their own drafting and get the highest picks possible.

Whats He Worth
So my take on this is that you look at Kylington as an example in the Flames system right now, he was written off by a ton of people, myself included but the Flames stuck with him and it's paid off. Valimaki is in a similar spot right now but has a higher ceiling than Kylington still. I doubt the Flames move on from him until he is a pending UFA, if at that point he still hasn't broken through you cut your losses and move on.
Valimaki in a trade right now is still a nice piece, I don't think the he would get more than a late 2nd round pick or a 3rd. Maybe a prospect in a similar spot at a different position. Tough to gauge right now for sure.

Like you mentioned, he should be calgarys 3LD next year. He's still young with a decently high ceiling. He doesn't look out of place in the NHL, Sutter just values the older guys with experience more.
He's worth more then a 3rd. There is 0 reason for CGY to trade him for a third.
The only trade I see happening with Valimaki, is for a similar aged forward (maybe a Kostin, Vilardi, Frost)

Shooting a ridiculous 26% and still a liability on defense. I love the guy and love that he’s unlocked his creativity and play-making side, but selling high on him would be a smart thing to do.

I think logically that streak should end, but I could see it being a pride thing to keep it alive. Yeah if Tarasenko goes there’s really no need to buyout a guy and add future dead cap. Also Perron coming off the books.

Just an Idea - Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>buffdaddy</b></div><div>Have to factor that you're ditching Scandella's next two years, plus getting a solid middle 6 forward in Crouse who fits the Blues style. All that plus the fact Chyrchrun has a sweet contract and we can't afford both Thomas and Kyrou in a couple years. I don't want to see Thomas leave, but we have to address our top 4 D if we want to go anywhere in the playoffs.</div></div>
Also Scandella is a super super favorable buyout, not worth lighting picks/prospects on fire to get rid of.

How? im just curious if you feel that Monahan is worth more than a 3rd round pick. 3/4 of his points are on the powerplay and hes been extremely average the last 3 years. idk Rakell vakue i assume its close to a 1st so this would be underpayment unless Välimäki is considered to be really good... he's still youngish but hasnt stuck in the NHL

Is this fair
I don't know Toropchenko's value, and in general, the bruins generally stay away from Russian prospects (they've been burned). So I only see Tank as the value piece here. I think you'd have to remove one of Lauko or Lorhei to get this done. Debrusk's game has picked up really well this year, Lauko and Lorhei are strong prospects, and this year's draft is a deep one and I feel Boston will remain middle of the pack standings-wise, which gives Boston's 1st more value than a normal year.
And finally, Tank would be nice (there is a 2RW need), but the 2C need is of a higher priority.
