I never said Macavoy is going anywhere, I said that’s who Vancouver should ask for if they are trading Boeser and Demko in a deal. And that Boston wouldn’t want to move him. But a defensive defenceman like Carlo doesn’t get the needle moving for Boeser let alone him and Demo in this trade proposal

I’m not asking for Reimer in the deal it was just included because Carolina would have to move a goalie contract for Demko. If I could change it now I would just make it Bean for Demko straight up. You can keep Reimer he isn’t the part of the deal that matters. Just wanted to hear Canes fans thoughts on Bean for Demko

Your idea is alright however Vancouver should only entertain that deal if it’s Macavoy not Carlo. Which I’m sure Boston doesn’t want to trade. Carlo is a fine defenseman but as the Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson trade taught people you shouldn’t trade young goal scorers for defensive defenceman. Boeser and Demko for Macavoy with no prospects and picks would be real interesting. Hughes and Macavoy pairing would be amazing

Read the description man, not the main part of the deal. As mentioned either him or mrazek would be included to make room for Demko. If you wanna keep him that’s fine, was more so looking for thoughts on Demko for Bean

Letting Markstrom Walk
I don’t think Vancouver should resign Toffoli. Yeah he was a good fit when he came here but lots of players can look good playing with Petey and Millsy. Three reasons they should let him walk.. First he was regressing his last couple of years of LA and his one weakness is skating. Signing a 28 year old to a multi year deal is risky especially when his wheels could fall off and turn into an anchor contract. Second RW is a position of strength in the Vancouver system.. Signing Toffoli to a multi year deal blocks Podkolzin from playing in the top 6. They also have Kole Lind in the system who plays RW. Third signing him costs you another draft pick. Not that a 4th round pick is a deal breaker but it’s the cherry on top of the first two reasons

Yeah I know Detroit wouldn’t want to trade him but I think value is pretty fair.. Virtanen is a year younger and had 12 less points in two fewer games.. Pearson has 3 less points in 2 fewer games.. Detroit’s goalie of the future in Demko and a deecent prospect with ties to Michigan... although they wouldn’t trade him...you gotta admit Bertuzzi would look sweet in Vancouver especially if he switched to #44 and was a poor mans version of his uncle

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>canucks_Fan_53</b></div><div>i agree with a lot of what youre saying but (other than ferland now) this team would have no grit VAN needed guys to replace burrows and Kelser (enter Beagle, Rousell) ,
Roussel IMO was a great signing! he put up a career high in points (in 15 less games than his previous best).
another thing to note is the D. injury prone, inconsistent and light duty. Myers and Benn will help fix that i have no issue with the value of Myers contract.. would feel a lot better if it was a 4 year deal though. but that's free agency. teams were offering him more (look at Trouba's deal) 6x6 is great value then his projected 8m ask only the term will cause issues.</div></div>
Can always find gritty players on one or two year deals with low cap hit. Can’t overpay term and dollar for third and forth liners imo

23 years old with 35 points last year making less then 1.5 million.. every team in the NHL could use that production. The point of it was trading him at 19 for Gudbrandson who was a train wreck in Vancouver

Is this the year Tanev finally comes to TO
I think Vancouver takes that deal. Tanev’s value has been diminishing. A 2nd and a pretty good prospect is decent return imo. Although Van retains it still gives them 2.25 million in extra cap space to use towards Boeser.

Opinions on Hutton
His qualifying offer would have had to been over 2.8 million per year which the Canucks didn’t want to do. Therefore let him walk into free agency. He’s a deecent NHL’er but with Calgary in a cap crunch they will probably look to sign a vet near the league minimum rather then Hutton at probably 1.5-2 million range. Just my thoughts

Massive Wild Trade
<a href="/users/TanSor" target="_blank">@TanSor</a> I’m hoping you have a good feel for Wild prospects. What can you tell me about Simon Johansson? Haven’t seen any highlights or many scouting reports in him, but seems to be out producing Filip Johansson their first round pick from the same draft. Good size offensive RHD seems like a real nice pick in the 5th round. Round 5 seems to be a good round for the wild!

Massive Wild Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JayTea</b></div><div>That's the issue. The Wild have quantity, they need quality. 99% of the trades on here involve sending NHL depth to the Wild when they don't need it. Maybe a deal around Zucker and Boldy for Boeser might make sense from the Wild's perspective because Boeser offers a quality upgrade now from Zucker while sending the Canucks a blue chip prospect in Boldy and a productive forward in Zucker who will still be good in a few years when the Canucks are ready to compete. Guessing Canucks fans wouldn't like that deal though and understandably because you're gambling on Boldy panning out.</div></div>
Makes sense. I think Boeser is a stud and had real good chemistry with Petey. But I think a Zucker Boldy return would be a good starting point for Boeser and could help both teams. Especially if Boeser wanted to play closer to home while his father is going through some health problems.

That’s fair thanks for the feedback! I am very intrigued to see when and how Kaprizov does when he comes over. I know you guys have an older core and should be in win now mode.. so getting 3 guys who are in the NHL and two prospects helps aid some of the older guy as they chase the playoffs. Plus you get the hometown kid haha

Islanders fans- What do u think
For the love of god can you stop posting trades about Boeser and Jasek to the islanders for Wahlstrom, Mayfield, Clutterbuck and some draft picks.
The only out of the box and somewhat reasonable offer I’ve seen on here for Boeser was Boeser and a 3rd for Zucker, Boldy and a 2nd. That is the kind of framework of a deal to even make Vancouver think about movie Boeser. Please stop with the islanders deals for Boeser.
Sincerely every armchair gm who sees the same deal every day

What could we get for 28th 36th and 37th
As a Vancouver fan I would trade pick 10 for 28, 36 & 37.
NHL teams have draft value charts to determine value of trading up or down. There is different ways to do it but...the values are as followed
Pick 10- 565
Pick 28-283
Pick 36-217
Pick 37-213
Total value of- 713.
Now obviously trading into the top 10 is difficult so I would think Carolina would have to “give up” some value in order to make it happen. So my offer would be for 10th overall. I will make a separate post explaining why Vancouver should look to make a deal like this.

Former agent.. that seems odd that his current agent is not refuting it haha. I agree that he has kind of got buried in the peg and never really given a chance in the top 6, it’s hard cause Winnipeg is pretty stacked. I posted it cause the rumours came from a deecent source, but thanks for informing it is fake news!

It isn't bad but trading Zucker to only move up 2 spots in the draft, downgrade on wing, and pick up a depth player is a lot, although I honestly don't know much about Lockwood. Would Canucks be willing to swap Leivo and Lockwood for Gaudette? I think I'd like that more.
Edit: read a bit about Lockwood and he's a lot better than I thought. I think I'd prefer this to the Gaudette proposal in my initial comment. I like Kole Lind a lot, too, if the Canucks are willing to part with him.</div></div>
Thanks for your feedback it’s appreciated! So in your perspective Zucker and 12th overall for Virtanen 10th overall and one of Lockwood/Lind would be an acceptable offer in your opinion?

What it would take for the devils to get Quinn Hughes Dont kill me
Interesting proposal. Obviously Vancouver is never going to move Hughes.. but it’s not a terrible offer. I think NJ would have to include Welsh as a prospect and take on Eriksson or Beagle as cap dumps. Also 2020 would have to be unprotected.. but again that’s just me ?
