<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sagecoll</b></div><div>-Trouba wasn't specifically trying to go to NYC as much as it was getting out of middle of **** nowhere Canada since his wife is trying to be a Dr. in the US. He's tradable anywhere in the US and the Rangers specifically have a history of dealing players before their NMC/NTC kicks in. There is a *reason* they started the NMC after this year. It was their way to opt out of this contract in case Deangelo/Fox made big strides. They did.

-Smith can be stashed in the minors

-Hank has been in talks with FO since before the trade deadline about his openness to a trade and where he'd want to go. It's on the table and he has a lot of value.

-Strome should undoubtedly be dealt. And when Chytil was with Kreider for the month Mika was out, he was 1st or 2nd on the team in pts/60, shots/60, and pretty much every on-ice metric. He's ready for a 2C if necessary.

That's all the Rangers need to do, not complicated. Deal Trouba, Deal Strome, Move Smith to the minors, Play the kids. That's really it.</div></div>

We sit on these forums and say "...not complicated", but it really is. Any Trouba trade will be a big deal/complicated. Strome would be a newsworthy trade, and moving Smith to the minors doesn't really accomplish much because you use 80% of your savings on his replacement at ELC value anyway.

That being said, I tried sticking to your trade Trouba mantra + all the people trading DeAngelo for Hanifin, and decided to play off that: <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/322989">https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/322989</a>
Includes your insider knowledge???? on Henrik's outlook but instead has him retiring.
And gets rid of Strome as well in one swoop.
