Just for Fun
With so many young players not signed to long term deals (Guhle, Xhekaj, Slafkovsky, Dach, Newhook, Hutson, Reinbacher) do you really want to antagonize the Canes and start a war?
Since most of their team is locked up, we are definitely operating at a disadvantage if we do.

MTL are not, so just keep Dvorak as the 3C and let him fade away like Subbanator said. Keep Evans as our 4C, good guy in the room and decent 4th liner

While we're on the topic, can we trade for Caufield and Guhle?
That's what it sounds like from our perspective.

I'd rather the pens take the $6M in cap space than two AHL players, one of which will never be an NHL regular.
VAN, CAR, DET, hell even VGK and EDM smash crush that poop offer of Hiroven and steeves

Ahh yes! The 24 year old undrafted prospect phenom Axel Steeves! How could the penguins not want him in return for a multi 40 goal scoring winger who's a ppg player in the NHL playoffs.
This is without question the dumbest and worst Guentzel proposal I've seen on this website. Actually blown away lol

He's the 2024 Chariot.
No fan wants him, but GM do for some reason.
TBH - it's hard to look good in Montreal right now. Half the team doesn't want to be there and have given up.... and Savvy is still there blocking shots nigth in, night out. He clearly should not be on a top pair... but he's probably one of the best in his "stay at home" type of Dman... which usually slot on the mid to bottom pair.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jackaille</b></div><div>Exactly, same with Montreal and the over abondance of #1-2 RD this year. Montreal is also a little bit behind on their rebuild than Buff. It hurts to trade RB because he will be good, but Quinn, Benson, Krebs, Kulich and Savoie are all there to fill your top 6</div></div>
You can't paired up Justin Barron, Logan Mailloux, Artyom Levshunov or Zayne Parekh with Lane Hutson
MTL need Reinbacher way more than a top 6 winger
MTL Core : Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, Kirby Dach, Kaiden Guhle, David Reinbacher and Lane Hutson
You build around those guys, we brought in Alex Newhook, Arber Xhekaj is probably in the plans, Owen Beck, Joshua Roy, etc

Matheson and Armia out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habs_need_Scoring</b></div><div>seriously if there was an offer on the table for a 1st and a 2nd with a prospect habs should jump all over it. Matheson is great offensively and logs a ton of minutes but he gets exposed routinely defensively, even more so then some of the younger dman currently up.</div></div>
Yeah, getting this return for Matheson, while taking on Suter, would be an absolute dream. But I don't really know, with Hanifin and Chychrun on the market too, how anyone would this for Matheson. Matheson can do some very good things, but he's a flawed player - the kind of player who gives back everything he gets you offensively with bad defending. He can run your PP but he spams shots in an era where teams have really moved away from running power plays through the point. He's more fine on the Habs because he's still doing things none of their other D can do (his relative xG numbers are fairly impressive), but for a team who already has weapons, he's an awkward fit. I would take Back and a 1st in a heartbeat for him (assuming no one else offers more)

Anderson has 3 years left at 5.5, Dubois has 7 at 8.5. When we are ready to compete in a year or two I’d rather just buy out Andy instead of having Dubois long term.
