They'll lose/expose Ritchie or Clifton or Lauzon (I'd protect or deal to keep SEA-mitts off him) or Zboril

Id be surprised if Kase gets a qualifying offer... i believe if they did qualify him his minimum deal would be 2.6 mil and i think BOS would rather use that money towards extending Carlo, potentially resigning Hall/Krejci/Rask/Ritchie and exploring FA. Just dont think 2.6 or more is worth a flyer on a guy who just cant stay in the lineup.

If Krug Doesnt Sign
Fine deals for DeBrusk, (+1Y to Kuhlman), Senyshyn, Zboril and Chara but Grzelcyk already signed his bridge deal. It would probably be more of 1Y prove it deal if he signs a one-year contract. Vatanen is RHD, can play LD but not the best fit and not a top pair D. Also at that price and not the biggest guy. Play Grzelcyk on the top pair instead.
Idk for Hoffman, I prefer sticking with Kase (and Studnicka at RW3).

Ritchie-Coyle-Bjork at practice.

Since they’ve accounted for 2 of the three goals the bruins have scored so far, I guess I’d prefer to keep them together for now.

Couple of plays but agreed. If 74 is a better fit with 13, we're back to the original problem: no winger for the second line. Need DeBrusk to get going asap.

I don't see anything in Blidh. What does everyone else see that they have him in the lineup? Average speed, loves to hit, relatively high energy and no hands. I'd rather have Senyshen, Frederic or Gaunce in the lineup, they all have more upside.</div></div>
Agree on Senyshyn and Frederic in the lineup. Cassidy likes Blidh, no matter what you and I think, that goes a long way. With Lindholm I would just rather see, as mentioned, Senyshyn, Frederic and Gaunce get more NHL experience. You are right Cassidy does like that 4th line vet presence.

Hypothetical 1 Bruins part ways with Krug
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>keepcalmandbergeron</b></div><div>My understanding is that everyone from that draft class is fair game if they don't make the big club. Think Subban by Vegas for comparison. Didn't play many NHL games, didn't make it through waivers.
If you select a player such as Zboril there is a link that says "waivers exempt". Estimated waivers required beginning: 2020-21.</div></div>
Gotcha. Thanks for the overall feedback though. I'm actually really happy you noticed the Gaunce signing. He actually looked solid during that one game with Boston. Obviously it's a really small sample size, but I've read about how solid of a player he was for Providence. I think with them letting Nordstrom go, he could be a serious darkhorse for that 4th line spot.
In regards to Studnicka, I really think they want to give Bjork another look. He had an up and down season this year, but he overall improved his game this season. We want more out of him because he's shown flashes, but I think they'll give him one more chance next season. If he doesn't reach expectations, then you can start giving guys like Studnicka, Senyshyn, etc opportunities. It's just a tough situation because while this team lacks totally high end prospects, they have a ton of depth and that depth seems close to being ready

Good RFA deals!
Chara will probably take less
and then the only thing i see as an issue is that Studnicka is not on the roster, and I see uour description, but hes gonna crack it.
Overall pretty damn good, but you gotta get Stud up there!!
Again, I THINK Krug will stay, but for an ACGM accounting for him leaving this is pretty good

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nalzugaray12</b></div><div>Thanks! I love Krug and hope they decide to bring him back, but this is just a hypothetical if they decide to move on. My biggest concern with that is if Matt Grzelyck can truly handle a full time top 4 role. He definitely looked serviceable during his short stint in the top 4 when guys like Krug and Chara were out, but I think it's definitely a question mark if he can handle it for an 82 game period.
In regards to Clifton, he definitely didn't look the same as last season, but if he regains that confidence: hes a good #5-#6 guy. Unfortunately for Clifton, Lauzon came in and probably just outplayed him for that #6 role</div></div>
Top4, I'm confident. Top pair, that's my question. Want to keep Krug-Carlo together and have the BU pairing so Chara has less TOI and McAvoy could produce more offensively. But 33-73 probably starts as top pair again next year.

Nordstrom will be gone, yes and don't think the Bruins need someone to replace him as they have several 4th lines options as you cited. Instead, sign a top6 AHLer to a two-way deal to replace Cehlarik/Studnicka. And Ebert is more a top6 guy so I would try to get a top4 RD.
Like all deals otherwise (just take some $ off DeBrusk and give it to Grzelcyk).
IMO Krug stays so I won't go farther
For your questions
-Yes, but the team is just better with Krug.
-Probably if they have health/chemistry and they can start scoring at 5v5.
-Bjork needs to gets more minutes (EV or PP). I'm not high on Clifton so a good 6th D and exposed for Seattle draft.
-Senyshyn needs waivers so he either starts on RW3 (Studnicka/Kuhlman otherwise) or waived. Zboril, AHL probably but can get some games.
-Hopefully, that's the only thing I can say :tearsofjoy
Great thread.

Flat Cap and No CBO Bruins Edition Revision 1
Good deals for DeBrusk, Bjork, Chara. If Grzelcyk takes that. Krug won't sign a two-year deal, even with a flat cap. Highly unlikely.
Vladar will probably sign a two-year deal and that's if he's ready to be the backup. Focused on NHL roster so that's why you're missing Zboril and Senyshyn I guess.
Already told you what I think of getting McGinn so
And Studnicka, if he makes the team, he plays. Otherwise, he's in the AHL.

If he makes the roster, its on the second or third line.
