As far as anyone knows, he has decided to take up mushroom farming in the Laurentians. I hate to admit it but the Habs don't have good enough players to make a deal for Tarasenko.
That is a seriously weak LD situation. Why not spend the $4M on a decent UFA?</div></div>
Because Tarasenko will be getting paid 9.5 mil the first two years of his contract because the blues only paid him 5.5 mil the last two years while he has been injured. That's a huge reason Tarasenko wants out of St. Louis.

I totally agree, teams are not going to give away players they hope to build around. Anyone who thinks teams will trade any prospect who makes the lineup every night is wrong. Buffalo wants to build around prospects they can develop themselves, not prospects who have already been brought up into another team. All of these options are legit trading possibilities. This is probably the only post that features actual trading assets both teams will agree on.

Like I said, it would actually help u long the run. You'd gain+1mil in cap space and you would no longer worry about that huge salary penalty once Weber retires. Duchane doesn't even match well with your team ... he played far better for literally every other team he's played on. Tbh he kinda sucks playing for Nashville. Montreal has the players to help him play better. It's a win-win for both teams in the long run. it just looks ridiculous at first glance until u dive in deeper, then it actually makes sense.

Correct, Maple Leafs lack depth even with all the players soon to be traded. He is exactly what they need, the only problem is his cap. We take care of that and throw Chariot in the deal. We can prob get a 2nd for Chariot and a 4th for Neal considering they don't even have a 3rd. Once they trade all those players, they will get a lot more draft picks. They need to trade the ones they got for depth players before then. I see what you're saying tho, its a long shot but I feel like it would be good for all three teams involved (Oilers, Habs, Leafs). Oilers get more cap space, we get more picks, and Leafs get more depth.

To then trade him for a 2nd. We won't actually play James Neal. It clears up cap space in the long run by giving him to Toronto. The Maple Leafs will probably need him and Chariot after they get rid of Marner,Holl, Amirov, Foligno, Simmons, Kerfoot, and Engvall this offseason.

Your trading Marner this offseason, so you actually do have the cap space. Plus Holl, Amirov, Foligno, Simmons, Kerfoot, Engvall will all be gone. That's actually a lot of cap space plus we would retain his salary so you wouldn't have to pay the 5mil he is getting paid rn.

Because people are talking about Eichel's trade value going down because of injury, Buffalo has no choice but to listen and accept a lower return. Kk and Peohling still have a lot of potential and Buffalo clearly wants young players who can play in their lineup. Plus Jordan Harris is going to be a really good D once he's done with college. I believe this will be enough, I might be wrong but Buffalo cant expect Caufield or Suzuki for Eichel if his injury might drastically affect his gameplay.

Bro, all of these are solid offers based on what rumors have indicated to be the price for what you're giving the habs but tbh Taylor Hall is not worth a 1st and whatever team eventually gets Hall will suffer. Every team he has played for sucks. Think about it, Edmonton, Arizona, New Jersey, Buffalo, what's next? Look at how those teams did with Taylor Hall compared to how they did without him. I'm not saying it's his fault but it's a little sus that everywhere he goes, the team suffers and yet we still consider him a star-caliber player. As a habs fan, I don't want him.

I'm not a Sabres fan lmao and its Jack Eichel. You have to remember that even an all-star cannot carry a sucky team by himself. Eichel needs to be on a team with actual potential if he was on a team with at least one other skilled player, he would be 10x better. I'm a habs fan btw so the second trade is based on what I've heard from fan pages and habs sources.

if your gonna trade Eichel you might as well take as much as possible... Eichel is arguably a top 6 overall player in the league. I'd do, Tomasino, Tolvanen, 2021 first, 2022 2nd, 2023 3rd for Eichel. I don't cheer for either of these teams so that's coming from an unbiased perspective. Sabres get two prospects and 3 draft picks for and Nashville gets a superstar to put with Duchane. I like the teams you chose to involve in the trade, lots of options for both teams.

I had to, this would take place after the 2020-21 season but before next season, so I used the 2021-22 season. Meaning these contracts were expired. irl they'd be traded before they expire as in before the season if that makes sense.

We already have the best 1-2 punch in the NHL with McD and Drai and Nuge is an insanely good depth center wingman for his 6, now most like 6.75-7M contract who is only putting up more points each season. There is zero incentive for the Oilers to chase Kane and Toews when in reality if we wanted to find a Kane type winger for McDavid we would just acquire somebody with a way smaller contract who still puts up points. If we were going to give up the amount you put into your trade why wouldnt be go after Pastrnak then and sign him to 9.5? Or literally anybody else better than Puljujarvi, Kassian, or Neal who McDavid has had to play with. I'd never break up the Nuge-Drai-Yamamoto line as its the number 1 line in the NHL when you look at the numbers. We're not selling the farm for Kane and Toews when we don't need them.</div></div>
Check out part 2, I made it using the Edmonton side of that trade

Look how much he was getting paid on Tampa lol, he should be paid more but it would be unlikely for anyone to pay too much for someone who had just been paid that little. He is a very underrated player and he will continue to get paid more but it takes time. Tampa gets in return two minor league players who would help the Crunch without hurting the team's salary cap unless one were to be called up. This gives Tampa more space to develop younger players.

Despite these rumors, my inside sources tell me it's fake. The TSN reporter got its source from someone who obviously had no idea what they were talking about. MTL management does not have a history releasing these kinds of things. No one knew they were even looking at Tofollio until they signed him and yet everyone thought they were going after Hall. In the end, they never even offered Hall a contract. Gallagher is not getting traded.

Your gonna need to give the habs a top prospect and a 1st round pick if you want Gallagher. A 4th liner and a 4th round pick won't get you a 1st line player especially not Gallagher. Yeah, but for a team like the Rangers, who will need to pay Lafreniere in a couple of years, it's good to open up cap space.
