constantly amazed how many people want to trade for two of the central figures in covering up and ignoring a massive sex abuse scandal, and over pay for them at that!

If Edmonton was going to just piss Jesse away why did Holland bother getting a deal in place for him? I get he could still get moved but would expect after the work Holland has already put in would expect a better trade.

On the RFA's what you've done with Steel and Lundestrom is confusing. Lundestrom cemented himself last season as the 3rd line center and might even be a core piece now. On the other hand Steel bounced around the line up and was a healthy scratch a bunch of the season. If anything you have the contracts backwards. But more likely you have the Lundestrom one about right and are over paying Steel in both dollars and term.
Stolarz and his super cheap contract doesn't make sense to ARI, another team with loads of cap space. His value is maximized trading him to a cap strapped team like EDM or TOR. Assuming you want to trade him that is (I don't). But you did bring in Mrazek so Stolarz out makes sense.
Buying out Henrique isn't on the table. For one, he's a big part of the veteran leadership on this team and a very valuable player in that role. And you are 5 million or so below the cap floor. The Ducks need Henrique's full cap hit.

Blow it up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Aasen6</b></div><div>The only players in the league with remotely close value to Mcdavid right now are Makar and Matthews. Mackinnon is close but because he only has 1 year left on his deal I don’t put him up there right now. To acquire a guy like Mcdavid is literally franchise changing which means anything or anyone not listed above is available. Seider and Raymond had solid years but combined aren’t even close to matching mcdavids value. Throw in edvinsson who looks great but hasn’t even played an nhl game yet so there’s a little risk and it’s still not close in my opinion. To acquire Mcdavid Detroit would have to give up seider, Raymond, edvinsson, cossa and 2 1sts</div></div>
Not sure about that as my argument for trading a player like McDavid is that every team that has ever won a cup didn't have him on it, so he obviously isn't a necessity for winning

GF% Rel: 5th
xGF% Rel: 3rd

Puljujarvi is already a MUCH better player than Anderson, plus he's cheaper and younger.

We need any many cheap over performing players as possible, Rossi is a prime candidate for that. For about 3 years here we’ll be in the cheap contract model.

Do you really expect him to be better without those guys? Montreal shouldn't need to add Mysak and a 2nd IF you are modeling after the Mantha trade.</div></div>
Holloway is worth more than Vrana at the time of the trade and that 2023 first is precious af imo

You got Pulock and Dobson playing in your top 4, that leaves mayfield with bottom pairing minutes and little special teams time. It's in the best interest for the isles to trade him before his contract is up. They get a pick which will help them with their weak prospect pool and a player who can play right now. I've only seen isles fans say Mayfield is worth more so I'm gonna assume it's a fair deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Poehling</b></div><div>He’s a power forward who can skate shot dangle hit and he’s 6’3 227 lbs
He was MTL 2nd best goal scorer last year and 3rd this year
He played with a team with low offense but still manage to be one of our best goal scorer. Other GMs don’t look at points only, they look at what he brings on the table. <strong>Anderson problems are he can’t play defense and has a North/South game only</strong> </div></div>
Those are two very important things Anderson is lacking for today's NHL. That means if Anderson isn't scoring well (and he hasn't been relative to his contract) he's a liability.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Poehling</b></div><div>Look what Lehkonen brought
Anderson would bring a better return</div></div>
Lehkonen is/was also:
- 3.1m cheaper (2.4m cap hit)
- The better scorer last season compared to Anderson (29 pts in 58 vs. 32 pts in 69 w/Montreal)
- Able to play defense (60% dZone starts vs. Anderson's 45%)
That's why Lehkonen brought such a good return.

Unite the stromes if Kane gets greedy
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>smokewiseganja</b></div><div>Honestly not sure about this argument. No centres to play with in Chicago, worst case scenario here you have to move McLeod to the wing and have Strome at C so it works either way. Still think he would produce on the wing</div></div>
Well he played with both Toews and Dach and didn't produce. Played even with Tyler Johnson at one point. But to your point, maybe with McDavid however Strome is just not a strong on the puck guy, doesn't have much speed and his best asset is his net front presence, IQ and passing not to mention good at the dot, that is better as a center then winger IMO.
