yeah you're seriously underrating how terrible this Zaitsev contract is....it's 5 years for a below replacement level player for 4mil+

it's worse than Abdelkader.

Thank’s for taking the time, but I completely disagree about zaitsev. Personally I would rather keep him but the media and fans have ruined that.

I don’t see this as realistic but I was looking from some feedback from a pair of wild fans. Just to see what their take is. I would have no issue removing zaitsev from the deal. I just thought he would fit in nicely behind dumba.

I like jankowski. I’m from Calgary so I get to see a lot of him. He has a ton of drive and think he could do well in Toronto. Was also offered this by another Flames fan. I like the first for TDL in 2020.... if we can make the damn playoffs lol.

Well this is a very optimistic approach for Leafs situation. I just don't see Marner accepting a deal like that. I frankly haven't seen anything that would point to him agreeing in any deal under $10M, not even taking the term into account.

As for MIN, I don't see them accepting that deal. Considering how much I've heard Wild fans praising Spurgeon, he has more value than the entire package you're offering to them...

CGY and EDM deals are interesting though. Don't know whether CGY need Kadri as they'd have him basically playing on the same role as Jankowski in there (3C).

I can see why both teams could have reservations. If spurgeon walks we are left with greenway for kapanen Timashov and a 2nd. On the other side the wild really need a big deal for spurgeon. Hence the trade between the leafs and wild that happened earlier. The wild need more prospects. This is why I added Timashov but that 2nd is pretty far off. Might not work for either side.

You have not been watching Leafs games, particularly Zaitsev otherwise you would realize how good he's been.

Take out Greenway, Zaitsev and Timashov and Minny might do it, Greenway doesnt have much less value than Kapanen

Wait for Spurgeon and we sign him in the Offseason. Age ? yes, i would like to hunt him at his 26, but i think he will last till 34y on high level for sure.

I’ve been following him since it was rumored he might sign with Philly when he came over. He had been on the teams radar for a while before that even. He didn’t become what he was expected and paid to become. Don’t presume to tell me what I know about a player.

The idea for the Calgary trade came about from a conversation on here between some other flames fan and myself. The workload is falling to the triple m line. Yes Kadri would be a 3c again but that may be exactly what they need. Frolik will be gone. They need scoring from their top 9. They also need better defensive play from their forwards. I would personally love to see Kadri in Calgary.

The Edmonton trade is just standard... wish that they would just have that trade auto added to every agm lol. Might not be Edmonton might not be a 3rd but he is gone. Which is too bad. I love brown.


The wild trade... this one erks me too. I dodn’t Really like it for either side when I was done with it. Yes spurgeon is good but did he get them into the playoffs? Are they going to resign him? Toronto could certainly make a different trade and go after him in ufa if he makes it. Think the value of the trade depends on the value that you put on zaitsev.
