I feel like you've got the Buffalo and Carolina trades mixed up.

To me, it makes more sense that Buffalo needs the 2nd line right winger, and the Canes need a goaltender that can be studly in the playoffs for them. Whether or not Quick is that guy... Man I want him to be again frown But Campbell might be more attractive to teams now with his palatable cap hit and solid year last year. (I know they have no right-shot guys, but they're still scoring at a pretty nice pace.)

Also, go for Carolina's first, not Toronto's. Not sure they can get past Boston/Toronto/Tampa Bay/Washington (again).

Selling them some crack would make more sense.

Jk xD

I think Kings should try and trade Martinez to the Lightning for Volkov and a 2020 2nd. Kings can retain as well. Martinez is exactly the kind of dman the Lightning need. A good responsible two way dman also one of the best shot blockers in the league. He is clutch in the playoffs too.

Not sure where Toffoli will go but if he has a good season like I think he will the value will be nice. Bruins, Preds, Canes make most sense to me. Although they don't really have anything that I like that would make sense for them to give up.

OKAY easy buddy. Yes Quick has had 2 very bad games, but don't jump the gun.

Hes been bad for a while. Hes past his prime, it happens. Ullmark and UPL are 100% better no question and Hutton is at worst playing on the same level as Quick over the last few years

Get your head out of your booty. Quick in the preseason was better than all 3 of those guys combined. Do your research before making such bold comments. He was injured last season. The season before that he was set on God Mode.

Jets could possibly have the room for doughty, if the kings are serious about a rebuild, not sure what the compensation needs to be, but a buffy contract with picks and kids galore. Would shake the western conference right up

I have no interest in quick. If we have to go get a goalie i would rather go get a young league average guy that hasnt already gotten paid.

A good amount of those goals against Quick are from a defensive core who has some new players on it all learning a new system so slow your role there Sabre fans.

Yes he was injured last year and 3 years ago he had the same injury, as well as in 2013, he already has a ton of mileage on his body already and hes turning 34. 2 years ago was 2 years ago his numbers have declined every season since he opted for non surgical treatment. His body is wearing down. He had 2 losses and 1 ot loss in the preseason with a .915 sv%, which is worse than Ullmark, Hutton won all his games, and UPL was on IR, even though the preseason doesnt really matter at all because youre either playing with and/against career minor leagers so the stats could be anywhere. Ullmark has already stolen a point for Buffalo in a regular season game they did not deserve a point in, Hutton is winning games for this team too, and UPL is one of the best goalie prospects in the league. Quick has allowed 7+ goals in 3 of his last 6 games going back to last season. So I easily take any of Buffalo's 3 over Quick

Sabres completely overhauled their D and have a brand new coach and system, not an excuse

It's 2019, and the TDL is in 2020. Quick and Toffolli just might have little trade value.

I'm so impressed. You Googled stats. There's a lot of aspects you are missing, but I am proud if you.

Edited Oct. 11, 2019 at 4:20 p.m.. Reason: Be that as it may, I’d hope the team with the highest NHL tv ratings could deliver a worthy on-ice product for their fan base. With the highest playoff drought in the league we’ll have to wait and see. Good luck with that

People said Quick was old and washed up before the 2017-18 season, wanna talk about that one? It wasn't that long ago...

It depends on his season. Based on last year asking a 1st - even a late one - is a major reach. Thirteen-goal-scorers aren't so rare that you'd pay a major future asset to rent one for a couple of months.

You said "2 games". Nobody is making a judgement based on 2 games, you're ignoring reality here. He's gonna have to rebound before you can talk about getting anything of value back - otherwise its just another cap dump.

So one good season in the midst of a bunch of bad seasons after a couple of bad injuries. Lets ignore all the signs because one fluke season

As someone who watches all his games, I can admit Quick hasn’t been great going to last year but something has to be said for his whole body of work. When the Kings were swept in the first round by Vegas 2 years ago it certainly wasn’t because of him. The only other goalie in that first round that had better stats than him was Fleury. Losing every game by one goal so if the Kings could actually score than that series may have been different. Sure you would rather take your 3 goalies over Quick and that may be true of the regular season but if your team could actually make playoffs after the longest drought in the league currently, I’d take Quick every time. I’d actually take him over every goalie in the league in a game 7. He’s a big game performer and was single handily the reason the Kings won in 2012 with some of the greatest playoff stats I’ve ever seen. Come talk to me when your team actually makes playoffs and any of your 3 goalies even come close to his success. P.S What goalies do you know of who have better stats in the playoffs for their career than the regular season. Even before last year Quick was a winning goalie for every major season he played in. Funny how everyone has an opinion when he’s down in his career but the same people are silent when he’s actually played well previously. Quantify that you mouth breathing troglodyte

2 seasons of around 2.23 GAA and a 918 SV % before 2017-18 hardly constitute as being bad seasons. Especially when he played 68 and 72 games in those 2 seasons respectively
