Markstrom is one. I'd look for another tandem goalie in the 2-3 million range. Lehner priced himself out of most tandem setups...but look at him in Chicago. He's being used as tandem goaltender.

We've been spoiled with Andersen @ 5 but for a quality tandem your looking at around 8-9 mill realistically if not more. So I guess my next question has already been answered... But I was gonna ask if you'd be ok with Lehner @ 5×4 and another goalie in the 2-3 range?

Dubas's decision to go with Sparks over McILhinny and Pickard beginning of last season really hurt the team then and it's even more evident now.

Time to turn that page in the next year or two and do the tandem goaltending thing.

I can't disagree but I think he's overrated, he's the Eric Hosmer of the NBA... A good player in his own right but way overrated by most. My worry is a team can't win if he's your best player, then again we already proved everyone wrong once who says we can't do it again, even this year without a true superstar(spicy P is close but needs another year or two of progression before I put him with the best of the best).

But no love for AD? Plus if we get the Greek Freak that means we have to trade O.G. and he's been great this year and I for one am glad to see it after what he had to endure last year.

First...you are giving @Trickster too much credit about the Alphabet nick name...on NBA related sites...that's the name used for years.
As for AD: look at how often he's been injured. Dude's a porcelain doll most of his career. If anything, he's more overrated than Alphabet.

With Raptors support cast, Alphabet would be monstrous and he's not a porcelain doll lol

Me too depending on who the other goalie is. I probably should have worded that better, it's really all depending on how good of a tandem you want, you could get a tandem for 5-6mill I just wouldn't expect them to be very good.

The decision to keep Sparks over Mac and Pickard was the right move at the time. The decision obviously didn't work out for us but it was the right move, don't forget Sparks just won AHL goalie of the year the prior season.

Like I said, I think it's the right move and the one we will go with once Freddie is gone. Dubas is a smart guy and this is the new trend, I can't see him investing in Andersen long term even though he's one of the best in the game right now, but only time will tell.

Ops. My bad. I'm slowly becoming disappointed in Rielly. It's not personal. Just that he (is? Or should be) smart enough to realize the team is good enough offensively and that his focus should be on better defensive play but for whatever reason it's not.

Is he going to learn/realize that soon enough? I hope but I suspect not.

My bad i didn't know. I only use Raptors Rapture and videos on YouTube for NBA news, what sites do you use? AD is like the NBA version of Hall...great when healthy but the injuries are a concern. AD and spicy P would absolutely dominate and I think he would fit in well with our team. Nick Nurse is creative and would run schemes that cater to Davis just like he did for the Claw.

I don't think he's overrated. He's super athletic and this season seems to be developing a 3 point shot. Top talent evolves and Alphabet is showing that so far.
