Description
Switch to tandem goaltending with Markstrom and Korpisalo.

Columbus gives Jones for superior goalie which they should have no issue paying.

If Hamonic opts stay out west, backup plan is Sami Vatanen @ 5.5 million for 5 years.

$100mill doesn't get you a meeting when the marquee FA and their agent know that's your top offer or very close to it...they won't waste their time. . don't know if you saw it but Cole was offered $245mill over 7 years from the Yankees. Yeah, we'll probably have to overpay the second tier guys but I think we can get Roark for around $10 and Teharen for $15 same with Walker which I could live with. Being in Canada only matters to American players we target but I get your point.

Did I change your mind about Giannis or the trade at all?... I'm guessing not.

I doubt the Jays even get Roark, Teharen...maybe Walker but just count on Atkins getting relative no names and hope to strike gold with one of those.

Because I feel Alphabet gets misused in Milwaukee, it's hard for me to write him off as overrated. If he was used properly, then I could see your point but really isn't the case.

Your trade idea isn't altogether bad...it just depends on how the extra cap space gets used later. Make an ACGM and let's see how it looks.

You're probably right but I'm starting to get a sneaking suspicion that they sign Bumgarner. I did already say I would love to have him (and I would be ecstatic if they announce a Bumgarner, Jays deal)...but not with draft pick compensation and bonus pool money forfeited. It's been reported that he's asking for nine figures also which I wouldn't pay unless we were getting Cole as well because then we'd only be giving up our 3rd round pick in next year's draft for Madbum.

I'm not saying write him off at all, I'm just saying he shouldn't be in the same conversation as Harden, Durant, James, Kawhi, AD, the splash brothers...ect. He hasn't earned that right yet just like Spicy P, but both have the potential. The point I was trying to make is he needs the Raps more than we need him, especially when we don't have a big under contract after this season and we need a shooting guard. Like I said, I won't be upset when we get him just a little disappointed because those resources could be used to fill the 2&5 positions. Anyway, do you at least agree that the points I made are valid ones?

"Your trade idea isn't altogether bad" Lmfao that cracked me up, that's a very Canadian way of saying it's s*#@t lol. I'm gonna do two ACGMs in a bit one for this year and one for next. Although, I'm sure leafs nation will tell me Nylander isn't available and CBJ fans will overvalue Jones and Anderson as per usual lol.

I am worried of the hate incoming to me, I was trying to be creative.

Would appreciate input guys.

I actually like it.

Moving Marner is a blow, but the end product is a significantly more balanced blueline. Anderson plays with some jam, which is lacking so I like that pick up.

Not sure if Hamonic signs in Toronto, but there are a number of capable top 4 guys available in the UFA market that would fit just as easily.

It certainly outaide the box. Overall I like the end product. It's so much more balanced.
