What?? They get a solution in net, and get out fully from one of the worst contracts in the league. This is great for them.

Vlasic's contract basically tops "worst contract" lists across the webz. $7M for 6 more years until he is 39 years old... and he is not worth the $7M now.

I wouldn't trade just Johnson andBjugstad for that contract, much less add Murray.

Add SJS 2021 first, and I still wouldn't offer FCs

This seems like a decently fair trade, people really dont like Vlasic so they wont like it

What's this about Murray unfollowing us? And why would it mean there's a problem between him and the team?

Fat chance Matt Murray goes to San Jose unless they move or buy out Martin Jones. Murray to Detroit makes far more sense. I can see Yzerman and JR making some deals.

Probably starts with the 32nd overall and a good prospect

Yeah I think I like this for the Sharks. Is Johnson a functional bottom pair D-man though?

He isn't lol he sucks

But I'd rather take Johnson at 3,250,000 for 3 more years than Vlasic at 7,000,000 for 6 more years.

Vlassic is 3.5 million better than Johnson, but I still don’t s Pitsburg making This mistake.

Ugh. Well, Bjugstad would definitely be a help as a third-line center. So with Bjugstad and Johnson ($4.1 and $3.25 mil) is about the same as Vlasic and True ($7 and <$1 mil) money wise, that's a fairly even trade on its own, right? Plus, it costs the Sharks less in the long run, and I think the swap of a high 2nd rounder for a legitimate NHL goalie who is just 26 is great for the Sharks. Obviously depends on how much money Murray wants though.
