So Parayko is probably not for sale just situationally, the Blues are staring down either their captain walking or shedding cap so they can resign their captain which also means jumping inot a win now mode, a young borderline elite defenseman going the other way breaks both of those plans and only moves if they are blowing things up
Beyond that, woods and a 1st is a paltry return for Colton
Also Sundqvist doesn't hold a lot of trade value or look that great on paper but the Blues really like him and he is a big part of Berube's scheme.
A more realistic trade would be going after Faulk and Barbashev or so and even then you could probably easily make it work for something that seems fair and fitting value wise but it may not fit with the Blues competitive window.
The more likely Devils trade with the Blues would be like a Gunnarsson pick up on the cheap or a Steen + pick for nothing pick up to add some good forward D veteran presence with the cap space and nab a pick with it by leveraging cap space
