If Demelo intends to play close to home I could see him being the most likely option as it wont cost the leafs any of there players.

Others that would be perfect but would mean losing picks or players
Savard- perfect partner for Rielly
Murphy-Another good option for rielly partner
Severson- Another good option for rielly partner
Weegar- Played well on his offside with Ekblad and can provide toughness
Cernak-Wildcard away from Mcdonagh but a good option
Walker-A little off defensively but a good local player

Weegar is the best trade candidate and DeMelo for FA if he goes to it but I certainly hope he doesn't

Montour, Stecher and Hamonic come to mind as well. I have a funny feeling their won’t be any moves for a D unless a good deal pops up.

Hamonic has consistency issues and his play style really isnt well suited for the leafs according to most sports experts which is why Brodies name kept coming up.
Stetcher could work, He has played 20mins a night. Just not sure he is the right fit for Rielly, but he will come cheaper
Montour is intriguing but people place him at either top 2 or bottom pairing dman with no one agreeing he is a full top 4.

But still options to keep in mind.

I would put Holl with Rielly and stretcher with muzzin. Hamonic will bounce back next season. The entire team looked like piss.

Brodie would be a horrible idea... just trade for Gardiner...
