Kyle + 10OA and remove the rest of the return they'd have to consider it

Rather than wading into the argument discussing value. When was the last time we had a top 5 pick traded at or close to draft day?
Theres a reason it is so rare.

No they really wouldn't. You know how people say Eichel goes 1st OA in most other drafts. Thats the same thing with Byfield/Stutzle. I would bet either one would have gone 1st last year and probably 1st next year

Definitely 1st next year. Next year's draft is very D heavy, though.

I really don't like this deal. This is shredding Ottawa's skill and depth down the middle for a LW who disappeared when it mattered. Listen, I'd love to have Connor, if the price and time made sense for both teams.

To be fair OTT 1st is the 5th overall.

Connor should be enough for that. Especially when the 10th overall pick is included.

Why the OP created Byfield there...I've no clue.

It's definitely something to consider, but knowing that Ottawa needs a first line C, this wouldn't be accepted. Having Connor in Ottawa would be amazing (I'm a fan of both teams). If you're getting Cirelli though, the Jets then have their 2nd line C to replace Little. I think if the trade was 5th overall, Wpg 3rd round pick, Colin White and Vitaly Abramov for 9th overall, Mathieu Perreault & Kyle Connor. One of Ottawa's 2nd round picks could be thrown in if it needs to be sweetened. With 5th overall Winnipeg could draft Jamie Drysdale if he's available or Jake Sanderson to help build back up the defence.

Yeah I dont think the Sens would accept but it'd be mulled over. I bet the Sens would do the trade you proposed although Im not sure if the Jets would

They definitely would not have gone 1st last year. Hughes was the guy for 2+ years tabbed as the #1 and he did nothing to devalue that. Next year would be highly unlikely too, Räty is a better version of Stutzle and a way better skater than Byfield. Stutzle and Byfield are both good players don't get me wrong, but they're not #1 pick worthy unless it's a weaker draft class. They'd both go #1 in the 2017 draft over Hischier and Patrick, that draft class wasn't anything good. But Pettersson woulda gave them a good run for their money. It's pretty hard to compare draft class' and and coulda or shoulda happened though

Not too sure about that. KC is an elite goal scorer, defensively responsible and under a nice contract till 2026. Byfield or Stutzle are projected to be very good players and C's. but that's not a guarantee. Tough to place value on the deal with the teams in different stages of development/competing. If Im the sens, there is nothing more valuable then a projected #1 C under an ELC developing with the team. If Im the jets, I would love a 2C, but the need is right now, not in a couple years. KC has been great and will continue to be great for the jets

That's why I threw out the idea of the Sens adding a 2nd rounder. I think it would be accepted by the Jets with that added. White didn't have a great season, but he'd fit in well and he showed that he can be a good player when paired with good wingers. I think he'd thrive playing in Winnipeg either as an RW or a C.

I know people always overrate prospects, but Logan Brown doesn't have much value and the difference between the Jets pick and Ottawa's is not Kyle Connor. I don't see the Jets doing it.

No way the jets just throw in Jack Roslovic to get out from Matty P's contract. THe jets have the space to keep him for one more season...why throw away a 23 year old who's finally starting to find his way in the league? bonkers move

the jets are a point where they NEED to trade picks and prospect for established players in their mid 20s not trade established players for prospects that will be ready in 2-3 years, 10 OA can net the Jets a good 2C or top 2-4 Dman in their mid 20s from a rebuilding team/ team with excess in those dpositions
