Detroit accepts but that's probably a bad trade for Montreal.

He doesn’t know what he’s doing lol trade Mete for nothing and trade Byron like he was a top6 winger on a good contract

Its a pass on the Penguins trade but its not a hard pass. Remove our first this year and your third and it would be very hard to say no. Bjugstads contract only has 1 year left at 4.1 Mil, Domi isnt worth Poulin our first and a 1 year Bjugstad dump.

Mete has no future in MTL but he remains a young player. MTL needs more bottom line players like Erne and Bowey who have more experience and points in the NHL.

I could see a McCann plus mid round pick for Domi.
Bjugstad more likely to team that needs center depth...maybe Winnipeg.

First of all, Byron is from OTT. His leadership can help young players. In 2018-2019, his projection was 45 pts. But, i agree we can remove Batherson if you want.

If Coleman worth a 1st pick + Foote then why not Domi who has done 72 pts last year ? Bjustad is for the cap issue and for a big 4th center.

Byron from Ottawa and his leadership quality are your selling points. 31 year old winger on 3.4 mil cap hit with three years remaining. No thanks.

I'm really curious, you are several people to tell me about Mete. That's why I did a survey to find out its value. But what do you like so much about 5'9 def who made max 13 pts in the NHL? He's not offensive and he's not defensive so ...

I think Byron has the same value as the Dzingel trade. So minimum two 2nd pick.

Coleman has a better cap hit, Domi will get 5+. Coleman was traded at the deadline where cup contenders will overpay to put them over. Domi would be off-season and the pens don’t need Domi as they already have Guentzel, Zucker, and McCann as top 6 LW and that’s a lot to pay for a guy making 5+ million to play 3C (and kind of a waste given Domi’s skill). The 1st given up for Coleman was a late pick, this is 15 in a deep draft. Bjugstad isn’t that bad of a cap dump. He is still useful when healthy. When not healthy, then he goes on LTIR and you get cap relief.

I understand your good points on LW and your concerns about Domi's salary. But last year Domi has the double pts of Coleman. PIT is still a contender for the cup, right ? Maybe it's not a perfect fit for PIT but i can see Domi play 3rd center and on the PP at 5 M$.

You are asking for 2 spare parts from wings, worst case he's bowey, best case he's better. I like his upside and on wings he might get playing time and produce more

Yeah but Pittsburgh’s need is a top 6 right handed RW that can play the left wall on the PP. we haven’t replaced Kessel there and our PP went to crap when Kessel left because of it. I’d rather look at going after a William Nylander if he’s available, or an ADB. I think the pens would be willing to trade 15 overall and overpay for a guy like those players.

Maybe he will be good at 25 but I have a lot of doubt about him. In MTL, he's the last in the LD hierarchy. I think one of Norlinder, Struble or Harris will be better, so i don't see his utility.

Again i agree Nylander will be better but its not the same trade value and salary.

Nylander is 6.75 million. Domi will likely be 5+ million. I’d rather pay more to get a Nylander which is needed than pay that package to get a Domi which isn’t.
