over pay for Parayko. As we've seen hes only worth Johnsson, Liljegren and the 1st.

It's tough giving up Nylander and the 1st but I like Parayko so much and I think Blais has some decent skill and would be great on the 3rd maybe 4th line.

I don’t understand the Dunn trade. If he’s at least a 2nd pairing Dman right now he shouldn’t be dealt. Unless you think he ends up like Montour, Risto, Vatanen etc

As we've seen lol. Just because a ton of Leafs fans post a deal doesn't make it definite value.

I just don't see Blues rostering Dunn, Faulk, and Perunovich. Trading Dunn allows you to spend that money elsewhere.

It’s not a huge overpay. One for one is quite fair.

True, but Nylander and a 1st for Parayko is equally as ridiculous as you think the other proposal is. Nylander looks like a 90 point season isn't out of the realm of possibility, he is only 24 and is trending up. If that is the asking price for Parayko he isn't moving and if you need space to keep Pietrangelo, I am not sure how that happens.

And he would be the unquestioned first pairing at LD for the Devils.

23-year-old Dunn was among the most sheltered 3rd-pairing Ds in the NHL. QoC in the 8th percentile. OZ starts in the 94th percentile. If your advanced stats tell you that he was the 2nd best D on the Blues then you need to stop looking at advanced stats.

Obviously I'd want more but I wouldn't be upset if the deal was 1 for 1. If Parayko gets moved, it may as well be for an actual impact player like Willy coming back. Thomas and Nylander would be a great duo to have. It still requires a bunch of cap moves for STL though. I'd move Perron and Bozak, sign Petro, and trade Parayko for Nylander if it really came down to it, but I don't know if Armstrong would ever consider trading Parayko - I think he's pretty confident in him considering he's been playing chicken with Pietrangelo this whole time.

Do u think Schwartz will get re-signed? Probably yes if Pietrangelo doesn’t get re-signed but what if he does?

Dunn-Pietrangelo
Scandella-Faulk
Mikkola/Perunovich-Bortuzzo

Assuming Parayko gets moved for Nylander

I’d actually like Allen for a 4th if we can’t sign a FA goalie

I hope they can find the money for Schwartz but it depends on what the rest of the roster looks like and if anyone out of Kyrou, Sanford, and Blais can actually step up and solidify a spot in the top six. As it currently sits, I don't think they can sign Pietrangelo and Dunn and have the money for Schwartz and I don't think there is a replacement in the system for what he brings. It's a tight spot to be in, at least we have Justin Faulk for 7 more years flushed cheeks

I'd prefer if the Leafs make this move, it's 1 v 1.

I'd gladly give 4 years of Nylander for 2 years of Parayko but giving a 1st in a deep draft too is too much for me.

The most I'd give is Nylander and a 2nd round pick for Parayko.

This is kind of like the day-trader who buys a stock for 10 bucks, watches it go to 20 bucks but sits on it and then tells someone he doubled his money. You only double your money if you make the trade. Parayko is only worth that low-ball offer if Doug Armstrong were dumb enough to make that trade.

Yeah, thing is you're losing flexibility in 2022 and beyond. I'd give up other assets to make this deal work, but not a cheap ELC talent.
