I'm not sure Tatar would fetch both of those assets, though it would be pretty sweet having him on on Mcdavid's flank. He's a responsible, two-way winger who plays a really good offensive game.

You caught the oilers attention however that’s too much for oilers to give up also they aren’t in a good position to just take money in would need to send some back.

The Wild would decline.

And also, the Habs finished 24th in the league. Not sure if they can make such a jump

I thought that the Oilers would need to move out money as well and thought the ask was a little much but I could see Tatar for Lavoie + Neal + 1st 2020 working for both teams

Neal +1st could make sense adding the prospect is just too much. I know Neal gets zero respect on this site but he’s a terrific pp specialist. Can credit oilers top ranked pp to mcdavid and Leon but reality is didn’t hit the heights it did until neal came on board.

I like Neal, but the cap space IMO makes up for the difference between Tatar for 1st + Lavoie. Perhaps the Habs could add a 2nd as well.

Perhaps not sure how I feel about that but it’s good enough offer that would make me really think about and strongly consider. For that good job

Why do people keep trading Domi to MIN? Our defense is largely underrated, and our offense is weak. We don't trade a 50-70pts player for a dman when we wayyyyyy more need a scoring winger. It would make our offense even worst.

We are adding offensive players Hoffman and Hall.

Maybe you can ask that if Tartar would ever show up in the playoffs. But he doesnt, brutal in the playoffs.

Tatar worth a first pick and at least one Futur asset. If the Oilers don’t want him then other teams will.

Maybe Tatar is with a worth a first to team who have legit Cup aspirations....like a mid 20s to 30s pick. But the Oilers are still a lottery or mid teen pick even with Tatar.
