Crosby probably cant land in our top 9, we have Tartar and Danault, why would we need him?

Pens fans think that a fair trade is sending us an older player with one good season -while playing with Crosby- (Rust) or a 24 year old winger that hasn't topped more than 35 points in an NHL season. I understand that Montreal fans are on the high side of things but those 1 for 1 trades are just dumb. Is Poulin and a 2022 1st too much to ask?

On a totally unrelated notes, what is going on in Pitt to trade every decent prospect they have? It's like you are proud of having nothing in the pipeline.

thats kind of exactly the point.

Basically, when 2022 hits the following things happen:

1. Sid and letang will be 35 and geno will be 36
2. Geno's contract ends he he probably goes to russia
3. Letangs contract end and he is likely gone as well
4. our goalies will not be RFA anymore
5. Rust and Kapanens team friendly deals end
6. we have no first round picks in the next 2 years (Zucker and Kapanen)

weve got 2 years and its all or nothing. It is a MUST that we give it everything weve got while Sid the Kid is still playing, this is pittsburghs legacy right here.

The plan is simple, It's ride or die with this core, and when it comes time to "die" in 2022, we want to fall hard and fast. dont get stuck in mediocrity, fall right to the bottom and rebuild hard with super early first round picks

I really don't see that, the most I really ever saw was Poulin+2020 1st, which is an extremely reasonable price considering what we gave up for Kap and that Domi is a far far better player and most of the time it was just like Poulin+3rd which is way less than we gave for Kap, and we'd be getting a far far better player lol
