Parayko for the 6OA

Created by: BluesBandit
Team: 2020-21 St. Louis Blues
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 11, 2020
Published: Sep. 21, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if Tarasenko doesn't play 40 games then he's ineligible for the ED next summer. Anaheim, let me know where you stand on this deal, if we have to add, we can throw in a guy like Sanford who we may have to expose next year.

No ANA accepts Parayko would put them in such an amazing position

McDonagh is better than Faulk so unless STL adds on their end it's a no go for TB IMO

Anaheim probably accepts, Tampa declines and Winnipeg declines. And what makes you think that Drysdale falls to #6? I could see either Detroit at #4 or Ottawa at #5 taking him.

True and that could be a factor later in the contract, but right now I would having McDonagh makes TB better

100%, It would absolutely solidify that d-core, and I'd be quite content to sit back and watch the Leafs miss out on him.

I just don't think the Blues would do this though. Drysdale is definitely NOT NHL ready. To think that he'd step in to a top 4 role as an 18 year old is wildly optimistic, and you'd very much be setting yourself up for failure. Drysdale is very similar to Evan Bouchard, who is a soon-to-be 21 year old who spent the season in the AHL last year. I have no doubt that he'll be very good pro, but it won't be in 2020-2021.

If Drysdale is available at 6th overall, then Ducks is not doing this trade. They desperately need young RHD prospects.

why would Anaheim accept that? They are rebuilding and already have Lindholm that does the same thing as Parayko. Plus that would make 3 of their top 4 UFAs in 2 years. By which point they are hoping to start competing.

Also no chance Detroit takes Drysdale when they have Seider and Hronek already. They will take Rossi or Raymond.

Yeah, I don't even consider this if I'm the Ducks.

Not to mention OP has Drysdale playing on the 2nd pair too, as if a 5'11 Defense is going to play 20 minutes a night let alone make the team

Don't see what his height has to do with it. If he were ready for that role (he's not, imo) why would being 5'11 stop him?
