Good contract for both sides, happy he found success after his surgery and buyout. Won't prevent them from paying Heiskanen next summer either, someone would take that contract if they needed to move it.

I don't like it. He played ok in the playoffs but was horrible in the regular season. The Stars need to get younger not older. Look how tired they looked against Tampa.

I wouldn't have bothered. Decent guy, but considering how tight the money is, that $1,5M could've been very useful for the Stars.

Isn't $1.5M actually slightly below the going rate for a bottom pair D? Given his penalty killing skills alone, this is a solid deal.
