I hate to start this conversation again, but to those that say Burns is really bad... they need to start watching some games and maybe understand the deeper meaning of the beast Brent Burns.
We all know he has the defensive liability tag, not gonna argue that. Also he had his best year in 2018-2019 and that wasn't even the year he won the Norris. Burns is much more than just a D-man, he is a hard working leader that some nights looks like a 20 year old winger with his dangles and offensive upside, and some nights he is a hard hitting D-man that never actually gets injured.
He is like a fine wine and somehow only gets better the older he gets. If you only take his last season to account, you are just lazy at seeing the bigger picture.
If Burns played for Toronto, I promise the team would be a lot better. I dare to even say that he can bring them to 2nd round or further. He has that experience with Sharks, that haven't got as good of a offence as Toronto. Its not just the points, its the experience. He is an elite for a reason.
And NO I don't want to see Burns gone. I like him as Shark and without him we wouldn't have the same success. But under the circumstances I would understand if they traded Brent Burns #88.
Sorry for the rant, but fans of other teams just see one bad season (because of a bad team) and it seems like all of sudden he is a new Dion Phaneuf in their eyes.
EDIT: Bad season meaning = 70games 12 goals 33 assists = 45points +/- = -22 (on a bad team all together)
