Pelech is a good player, but that is way too much for a guy that we don’t need and probably can’t afford next season. And we aren’t trading Byron, especially when you just want to swap him with Cizikas.

Kings take Leo at $5.1M for two years, lose Carter (the better player by a long shot), and they still need to downgrade a pick? You have to be kidding.

Hagg is not worth his contract let alone adding a 2nd to acquire him

Yeah the second may be a little rich, but I like the idea of a young LHD on the team now that we lost Toews. Maybe it's a year too early to get a guy like him.

You definitely don't need Pelech and I get where you're coming from, but there is something there to this deal. I feel like there's potential for something around maybe Bellows for Poehling? MTL is short on LW prospects, NYI is short on C prospects, both are NHL ready.

Hagg is awful - I’d rather play Aho (who deserves a shot)

I’m a fan of giving prospects a fair shot when they’ve earned it.

I don't think that the Islanders will be able to disabuse themselves of Boychuk (or Ladd, for that matter) without retaining at least 25%.

Maybe the Buf trade is a no from NYI, but it definitely is a no from Buffalo, we don’t have the cap room to add 5.5m+retain half of montours salary.

That's totally fair, I don't think it's great for BUF either. Retaining all that salary and adding Leddy doesn't really make sense.

I mean if you read the description you would've saw that these were all trades proposed by fans of other teams over the past few days.

I’d rather have Carter and the better pick than Komarov and have the kings retain... you basically have the kings paying Komarov 6mil for a downgraded pick and a worse player

Good thing Poehling plays LW too. He is not NHL ready, and that's also good because we will need him in 2 years.

Montreal easily say no to that trade as well. Obviously doesn't work from either side.

Thought he only played center, never mind then.
