DeKeyser is injury prone, overpaid and not even guaranteed to be a good top4 D right now. You also put him on the 3rd pair. For the high picks, no thanks.

LHD is a bit of a problem. Trading picks for Dekeyser leaving no room to sign Debrusk would be a bigger problem.

Most people are way too much focused on the departure of Krug. Yes, he was one of the best players but he was below-average defensively at even strength and 52% of his points in the past three years were collected on the PP. That's where it may hurts, the powerplay. At even-strength, the Bruins have been one of the best teams defensively for years and it won't be bad because one guy left. It's not about only about the players, it's also your system and game plan.

There has been some unsubstantiated rumors of Debrusk and Carlo for Hanifin and Bennet.

Couple of RFAs out there that could peak some interest from cap strapped teams.

They could trade Debrusk with Moore and a pick for decent 2nd pair type and then sign a Granlund or Duclair.

There are options. This is not one.

Or this. Do nothing. There might not be a season this year. Wait it out.

The 3 kids were all top 50 picks. There just has not been room for them. All they need is 1 to be serviceable. Fix the problem next year.
