Oilers already have cap problems without Bear signed. They can't afford Marner without making another move.

Also there is no good Marner trade in my opinion. I'd rather the Leafs keep their superstars.

I wouldn’t touch that from oilers perspective. Nuge is highly underrated plays a massive role on both special teams and fits in perfectly flawlessly beside either mcdavid or Leon. Can cover centre in the top six when one of them misses time. Marner as great as he is I wouldn’t give up the role nuge plays for him it’s far beyond just points impacts the game in several ways. Adding anything to nuge just makes it farther from a possibility then factor in the cap situation and it’s not even possible to make sense of.

Yeah, its almost like the oilers would have a much easier time clearing smaller, not bad contracts than either of those teams. Like rnh at one year is totally hard to move for futures compared to 4+years for vegas and tampa.
