Gibson

Initial Creation Date: Dec. 13, 2020
Published: Dec. 13, 2020

Description
Just hypothetically, if the Leafs were to move on from Andersen, for whatever reason, how much would it cost to acquire John Gibson. I'd assume the deal would have to involve Nylander, but are there any other packages the Ducks might consider not involving the big four or Rielly?

This is a joke. Liljegren is a bust. And you can at least add a 1st

Liligren is not even close to being a bust what are you talking about lul. He is only 21 years old. A prospect is a bust when they turn 25 and have not seen a single game in the NHL or have not improved at all. Liligren has improved year after year and has started showing a more 2-way orientated playstyle. Tampa has demonstrated time and time again when you properly develop a prospect through time and patience they will be a force to be reckoned with. The main reason he aint playing rn is Keefe and Dubas dont want to rush his development and rn he is on the right course and only needs 1 more year before we see him on the team in 2021-2022

I was thinking about 2021 1st, 2022 2nd, and 2 prospects (Liligren + someone not named Sandin or Robertson).

Honestly though one of my predictions is Dubas may move on from Freddie and trade for one of Gibson or Kuemper. However this only happens if Anderson asks for over 6mill. As while yes Gibson makes 6.4mill he is 27 and on a good contract.

Yup.

Vesilevsky?

Put Vasy on a bad team and see how he performs. He’s got the best team in the league on his shoulders. Has one of the best defense in the game in front of him.

Gibson manages to be a top 3 goalie in the league while having a garbage team surrounding him

Yeah ok so i know that the ducks have no reason to trade Gibson, but Patrick roy didnt even bring a return like that

To be fair the Roy trade isn’t a good comparable because the team had no leverage when trading him because of the circumstances they were put in, and they still got the teams captain and another good roster player and a goalie back

He's also patrick roy. The last goalie to get even near the ascribed value was luongo

That’s a joke 😂😂😂

Without at least one of Nylander/Marner there is nothing TOR could offer up to get Gibson

goalies don't have as much value as players, when do u see a goalie trade with a roster player on it

Goalies like Gibson signed to that great of a contract dont get traded. Ducks have less than no reason to even consider moving Gibson.

When you go in a rebuild and you have a solid goaltender with a good contract, there's no reason to move him.
