Statement 2: Nylander really seemed to turn a corner in the second half of last season. I think it’s very possible he’s a 40 goal scorer moving forward.

No I know that, but they do like comparisons and stuff like that, and a lot of those comparisons are tied to Panarin and Kuch, but I don't take those critics seriously enough to actually think they'll turn out to be like them

He comes across as the "godfather" figure and speaks well on TV. His knowledge is questioned by many. Certainly his ineptness in building quality teams in Toronto was very apparent.
If you want to listen to him fine. He might know more than about the Bruins than some Bruins fans. Does Burke have any more knowledge about the Leafs than many Leafs fans...no.

After four full seasons with prominent roles in the NHL, I’m not expecting them to take leaps and bounds forward to the extent that it could take the leafs form a fringe playoff team that lost in the play in round to a stanley cup contender.

Expecting him to be a top six winger is very optimistic given the history of mid first round picks. I would call that his potential, not what should be expected.
