Dreger "I'm told according to source"
Translation. " I just keep making stuff up hoping something will stick"

It's like listening to Tony Romo play by play....."well you see here with the tight end lined up next to the tackle that mean's it's either going to be a run or a pass"

Lost of interest could just be "what you gonna give me to take him off your hands."
Or "lol. Wtf he do now?"

Lots of interest this time means there's probably teams that would give him his final chance of actually playing hockey but couldn't take him for free due to his cap hit.

Meaning that should NYR find a deal for the guy, they are unlikely to save any money in the exchange, nor gaining any kind of substantial value.

For instance, I could see for example Jets offering Perreault for the guy. The cap is quite even, and Jets have a large hole to fill in their RHD department. Plus the Dubois trade pointed out that Cheveldayoff has no issues taking in attitude problem prone players.

Dregger is such a tool. So full of ****. Even if it were for a bad contract unless you’re going to do something like buy him out I can’t see any trade working.

2 problems... deangelo sucks and he’s a cancer.

I’m trying to think of a bad contract that could work both ways but I’ve got nothing.

I mean top of the list for possible trades is skinner, eriksson and myers. But rangers aren’t taking on cap.

the qualifications to be a "sports analyst" point out the obvious and then say nothing about it hoping the obvious happens and you can look like an "expert" who's "in the know"

If you think he sucks at hockey you didn't see how bad the NYR offense was without him against a penguins team with like 2 actual defensemen.
They got no one who can move a puck.

He's a cancer and he sucks defensively...but he didn't scored 50+ points last year due to dumb luck.

For a team struggling with goal scoring it might be a sensible thought...

Personally speaking, I'd stay as far as possible from the guy.

Sorry... he sucks defensively. He is okay moving the puck and good on the pp. he is certainly not good enough to have him come contaminate your team.

Man if the Kings gave up the better defenseman and a recent draft pick for the worse defenseman with the larger cap hit that they could have had for free, I’d be asking for Blake to resign.

This year he is on pace for 10... he’s Tyson Barrie with a **** attitude.

Tbh playing 3rd pair with Jack Johnson...wouldn't expect much. He's doomed to look bad on ice...and he had made himself look bad off ice... He's a fool.

Send the guy a one-way ticket to Moscow. CSKA took in Leipsic, Deangelo shall be next.

most offensive defensemen do.
Hell would anyone here really put Schultz in his own end?
But he's looking great in WSH who hides him at every point they can.

Problem is the damn goalies giving him a .787 save % behind him even though his fenwick is over 60%.
Like no **** he went after the goalie. I'd ****ing go after the goalie too if they played that ****ing bad behind me.
Like **** what more can they do, they got 60+% possession time, and are killing it on high danger shots. Maybe the goalie should do something novel like stop the puck.
I mean he's out there blocking a shop per game. Coming back bruised as F from it, and the goalie letting is soft goals.
I'd hardly say that makes him a bad defenseman.

Heres what I can see happening. Team A has a **** contract and wants it gone. Rangers retain half on deangelo and take that **** contract.

One of my friends said honestly Philly should trade for him and get rid of ghosts contract. Makes sense as he will only cost 2.4mill and can go on the taxi squad

Thats the only way I see him getting moved.

Yeah, well, I've got tons of interest in that slobbering Doberman snarling on the other side of the fence, but that doesn't mean I want him on MY side of the fence.

Great post, @Root !

this makes sense except the Laferriere part, kings have him rated high as a prospect so the rangers would have sweeten the deal . tony d and jeff carter would be great together partying all night in Hollywood
