Fair value. Anaheim would need to take back some salary though.

I don't expect Toronto fans to like it, but this is what it would cost.

Read an article suggesting this earlier. Was wondering how long it would take for it to pop up on here. The Leafs should not consider this in any capacity.

Rakell would be a great fit in Leafs Top 6.

But Leafs aren't moving Robertson to get him, so I doubt there is a fit between the two teams.

The fact that Hyman is due a big raise next year, and Rielly the year after that further complicates bringing in a caphit the size of Rakell's (no matter how underpaid he likely is).

Seems ok to me. I'm not sure what people are expecting from Robertson, but its not like he is some golden ticket.

To leafs fans he will be the greatest goal scorer who ever lived until he isn't and then they will move on to someone else.

IMO they'll give him some term to keep the AAV down.

I'd like to get him for $3.7 - $3.9M for 6 years, but he'd able to top $4M as UFA, so probably wishful thinking on my part.

Leafs top forward prospect, and also closest to NHL ready and contributing for under $1M.

So fairly valuable piece when you consider potential, and cost over the next couple of years.

Is Cole Perfetti for Rackell fair? Because Robertson is better than he is.

If he can step into the Top 9 and chip in some offence for under $1M for the next few years, that's fairly valuable to the Leafs current roster make-up.

Right?

Hyman isn't deserving a big raise but a moderate one. Anything more than 3.5 million and we lose Rielly or can't afford any decent goaltending. Hyman is terrific but his skill level isn't worth more than 3.5 at his age.

God forbid Leaf fans like their best prospect.

He would have been a top 10 pick last draft had he been born a couple of days later. He's not just some okay prospect he's a blue chipper but since he belongs to TO he's just a 2nd round pick.

He's expresses interest to go low if it means he gets security and he has money so he doesn't need a big contract. Already has successfully book deals and an eSports company. Playing at home is important so I think he'll fit in for what he can get in TO. 3.5 is my limit and whatever term he needs to get to that or less is what will work. Overpaying him is a bad idea, he could become an Andrew Ladd awfully quick at the age of 29 if he makes more than that in his early 30's.

To everyone on here Cole Perfetti is a bluechip prospect who will be a terrific player. Robertson had a better season than him in the OHL last season. To that you'll likely say he is a year older so it doesn't count. He isn't, he in fact would have been drafted last draft had he been literally a couple of days younger. He was the youngest guy drafted in his draft and would have been a top 10 pick had he been drafted this past draft. He is a terrific prospect and the only reason you and others like you say anything otherwise is because he was drafted by the Leafs.

I doubt $200 to $300K per is the difference between keeping Rielly or decent goaltending.

And if it was that essential other moves could be made.

The revolving door of wingers this year in the top 6 is showing how essential Hyman is to this current Leaf team.

Injuries happen, Thorton and Simmonds both looked good in the top 6 as well.

How is a top prospect worth a guy that's scored 1 goal in 15 games this season, 15 in 65 games last season, and 18 in 69 games the year before? This isn't 2017-18 and a guy that's been on the downward trend in production (argue a poor Anaheim team all you want, still isn't produced) isn't worth a top prospect. Leafs don't touch this idea with a 10 foot stick.

You want to pass the first round right? Robertson is good but he's not elite. What did he proved to the junior level to prove your statement?? Being the best prospect at Toronto doesn't mean you're top elite... :P Rakell is a proven top 6 forward. Not sure if Nylander, for example, would be doing great in wasteland that Anaheim is compared to Rakell

Well, if he can play VAN or OTT every night, I suppose he could be.

"If" being the key word here. He is still a prospect...a good one, but hardly untouchable.
