Quality And Quantity - More than any other team will offer

Created by: AJC13
Team: 2021-22 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 12, 2021
Published: Mar. 14, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Trade takes place between this years Expansion Draft and the Amateur Draft. If Buffalo could get a better trade offer then this, go for it! But I don't see another team offering as much in quantity or significantly more in quality.

This doesn't even start the conversation for Eichel and you think it's the best offer on the table? From a Flames perspective I could offer Tkachuk alone and am already outbidding you

I think that trade starts with Lafreniere. I could be wrong. Also, if they get Eichel some money has got to go.

You think Shesterkin is worth 5.5M? He hasnt looked as solid this year, or am I not watching enough games?

Buffalo should counter with quality and quantity from their side.
Instead of Eichel,....offer Staal, Montour, McCabe and Hutton for this package

If that truly is the best offer they get then they don't trade him. I would rather watch him sit out for the rest of his contract than to get this as the package

Uhh I dunno about that one, maybe throw in Jack Johnson to really push that trade over the top.

That is a little much from my liking. I would rather stick to something like Strome, Kakko, and Robertson.

I want to keep all three. Kakko in particular, but Strome is proving he's a great player no matter who he plays on a line with and Robertson is too good of a prospect to trade.

The Rangers can live with the trading of the prospects listed in the trade. The Rangers would be better off not trading for Eichel than trading the players I've listed on the lines/depth chart above.

The Rangers have Zibanejad, Strome, Chytil, Rooney, Blackwell, and Howden, all playing well right now. So there's lots of depth with Blackwell being able to center in the top 6 if two of the top three centers go down with injuries and Rooney could slot in just fine as a third line center. Howden provides depth with good defense and good skating ability.

That's why the Rangers are not going to trade prospects better than the ones I've listed. They don't need Eichel badly enough to do so. As for Shesterkin, he might be the most talented goalie in the league

I've only seen three games, didnt impress, I just got unlucky I guess. I know he is a good goalie. Doesn't Eichel make them a contender next year though?

Eichel doesn't make them a contender if the Rangers gets worse by giving up too much in trade. Also Panarin (for example) makes every teammate on the ice he's playing with better. Who does Eichel make better?

You're completely delusional, there will be no counter offer. When Buffalo notifies the league that they are willing to trade Eichel, every team that's interested will submit a trade offer and Buffalo will pick the best one.

Maybe there might be some tweaking of the final trade proposals, but the trade is for Eichel and no one else. Unless another teams wants a throw in in the deal.

Buffalo is desperate to trade Eichel, so obviously their GM would be humble and would certainly not have the same cocky non humorous attitude that you enjoy posting with. But that's just common sence.

Record has nothing to do with how well they're playing. If the Rangers were playing in the North Division their record would be that of a top 4 playoff team.

There is no centerpiece...its just a random collection of future AHLers.
No Fox, no Laf, no Buch, no Zib. No deal.

Shesty is legit. The team in front of him isn’t yet. All the kids need some seasoning which just takes some time. There’s no G in the league that would make NYR a playoff team, they are just going through growing pains.

So you're making a half ass offer for a guy that you dont want or need. Why bother then. Buffalo won't settle when it comes to moving eichel.
