No thanks from wings side. I think giving up the chance to get wright and power combo along with other key pieces is a huge mistake

imagine (somehow) you give up Zadina, Raymond, Wright, and Bedard + for Eichel. Too risky for me imo

Even after acquiring Eichel, this team is still worse than Sabres on paper. Now only without future assets. And that's saying something.

A bunch of good pieces, but no high end Center there
That offer will get beat imo

The high end center would come from the draft picks. Def would get Bernier and one of the good d prospects and have a chance at Wright the following year. I would do this in a heartbeat. That’s way too much imo

Too unsure that we’d get that high end Center though
Beniers is more like a 2C than a 1C imo
And if we miss out on Wright, then we’ve still got a big hole

Maybe i could be talked into it
But it would be hard to turn down Byfield or Turcotte + imo

Buffalo fans are literally delusional. NO ONE is giving up their roster and their future for one guy. There is no making you happy. Your team has been in the basement every single year since you've drafted Eichel. Beniers might be a 2c in your eyes but with the player development in Buffalo he's probably a 3c. The entire organization is an absolute dumpster fire and so is the fan base to the point where there is not a single player in this league or born yet for that matter that will fulfill the prophecy that is Jack Eichel and take the Sabers to the promise land. You're gonna get 4 really great assets and you're going to like it. And if you don't like it, you're going to get nothing and Jack is going to ask for a trade. Then you get... nothing.

Would start with Larkin AND Seider and then you would add.

You threw up a bunch of complimentary pieces at best and some picks.

edit: i missed Raymond being there, but my point still stands

I think you're missing that this guy is giving BUF an entire 1st line with the 1st + Zadina + Raymond, let alone the other pieces.

No matter how you look at this it's absolute nonsense.

Detroit is far worse after this trade.

Buffalo will probably win more games but nothing going to Buffalo really compensates the loss of Eichel.

Both Buffalo and Detroit are rebuilding and for the most part looking for to add picks and prospects. So it's just common sense that they probably wouldn't trade with one another.

A good rule of thumb is player, pick, prospect now if you can't get close with 1 of each of those 3 things it isn't likely to happen.

"Some picks" ??????
Our 2021 first rounder (which is probably top 4), 2021 2nd (again a high pick because of standings), 2022 first rounder (again probably will be high).

That's on top of Zadina (6th overall pick) Raymond (4th overall pick) Cholo (20th overall) .

So that's 5 first round picks and I didn't even mention Bertuzzi or Grewe or the 2022 2nd round pick yet

People should stop making garbage trades for Eichel and Dahlin if you don't want Buffalo fans asking for the moon instead - you ghouls are like people who would see a homeless man who still had a gold wedding ban and a championship ring and offering 5 bucks for both of them "dude that's enough for a subway special" Jack has five years left after this season and I'd rather he sit at home until he's 40 than sell him cheap.

just because a guy was picked in the 1st round doesn't mean hes that good years later.

are you saying i could trade kyle okposo, curtis lazar, zemgus girgensons and casey mittelstadt for dylan larkin?

It does fit what was the asking price in 4 first rounders with Raymond, Zadina, and the 2 firsts. Honestly, if you are trading Jack, this gets you incredibly young to build around 2 top 5 picks this year, Quinn, Peterka, Cozens, Dahlin, Joki, along with 2 firsts next year that would be in the top 10 (Not to mention to more picks in the late 30s this year) Cholowski (future) and Bertuzzi (present) are decent players as well. This is actually pretty overkill tbh.

Your idea of selling him cheap is to take half of NYR future and 2 current roster players. Remind me of that gold band story you were just telling me about.

for a 1.16 ppg player in his prime locked up for 5+ seasons it should take a haul.

Those players are never available.

stop throwing us loose change and asking for a 5 dollar bill.

trading for eichel will hurt. it should hurt. hes 1C on like 24-27 teams in the league and hes 24 and locked up long term.

prime assets.
