The hart is a one man race. It’s McDavid. No one is even close to him. This should be unanimous, which is very rare in hockey. But let’s pretend. Kane probably isn’t in the top five.

I do think fox gets the Norris. I don’t think he’s fully deserving of it, but I do think he gets it, and I hope he does. Watching the rangers try to negotiate with a Norris winner while trying to add every number one center under the sun will be hilarious. Even more hilarious will be the wacky rangers fans on here saying that fox is the best player in the league while trying to justify him signing long term for 6.5 mill.

Sounds bias coming from a Leafs fan, but the guy emanates nothing but positivity, was dealt a bad hand coming into the league, went from the Kings backup to a league record holder, and is extremely dedicated to the sport. Even if he doesn't win it, he is a lock to be nominated

I think Spezza is almost a lock for the Masterton, especially after the money pooling for the Marlies. The only thing I disagree with is the Hart, as that's pretty much a one horse race right now

this is the question I ask for Marleau. Can we stop handing him trophies because he put on a sweater and played bad hockey for the last 3 years just to hit a number.

You have a point. But I just don't think anyone else has a case. Campbell misses a few games and gets handed a trophy? I'd sooner give it to Stamkos for missing half a career and still rocking up.

Bobby Ryan was an easy pick last year. Lehner, Boyle, Anderson. All great stories. There isn't a better "dedication to hockey" story than actively playing more games than anyone who has ever played the game before.

You can't tell me Gordie Howe was playing his best hockey at 52.

Late blooming goalies isn't a unique tale. He shouldn't get a trophy for being drafted too high.

It doesnt have anything to do with that. There is a great story about his mental health struggles going from Top 15 pick to an ECHL starter, and how it almost took him out of the game when he was in a really dark place. And now with the help of a particular goalie coach and a lot of physical and mental work he went from that dark place to breaking a Maple Leafs franchise record. Pretty great human and hockey story
